I havent found one for less than $500. Microwave. If you've got 2, try the large, then the small. NO! Not at the same time. Keep checking craigslist, A/C's come up often and cheaper every time. |

Al... Mark... Tat is so bad. In so many ways. I can't even begin to explain why you should not wear a Nehru jacket with a Grateful Dead tye-dye. Also, you can't wear a Hawaiian shirt with a Nehru jacket. Either combination will short circuit our brains. |

I have some tye-dye socks that my grand-daughters made me, they kind of go with my hawaiian shirts,,, does that count? RVnoob,, I second Trish's comment about craigs list... check the rv section, there is stuff on there all the time, sometimes very good deals. I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere! |

Only if you wear the socks with black leather sandals. ;0) RVNoob: Check any used genny you look at to make sure it's making electricity. Trust me on this, gets expensive otherwise. Just because it runs doesn't mean it makes electricity. |

You check the frequency with a frequency meter, or a digital meter capable of such. A reed-type frequency meter is the least expensive but you might be able to find a digital meter with a scale sensitive enough (the Harbor Freight-type cheapie digital meter only reads 60 cycles at .06 kilocycles, which is not good enough). The bf is an HVACR master, so he has a digital meter with a sensitive enough frequency scale built in. '73 Concord 20' Class A w/Dodge 440 - see profile for photo |

Thanks again for everyones comments. As far as Craigslist goes, I have been keeping up with it as much as possible. Thats how I found the rv in the first place. There have only been 2 on in my area so far, cheapest one was $500. But I will keep checking. As far as the genny goes, it is making electricity, the house battery is completely dead. Havent bought a new one yet, but when the genny is running all my lights work inside and the fan on the ac will run. The ac is either out of freon or the compressor is locked up. The fan will run, but not the compressor, it tries to kick on but wont. Still doing some checks on that. Will keep everyone updated. Ok, I know that I am probably boring everyone to death with all the questions, please forgive me. But now I need to know what is the best way to check the water pump and all the water systems? I was thinking just fill the tank with water and turn on the pump and see what happens. Then try the sinks and shower and toilet. Does that sound about right? I know already that the tanks are ok, the guy replaced those. Thanks again. Sam 76 Dodge Leprechaun Getting started. |

Yep, put some water in and turn on the pump. After, of course, you've done a visual inspection to make sure there are no loose or disconnected fittings and the plug is in the water heater. You don't want a mess, after all ![]() |

Wait, there is a plug in the water heater? Where should I be looking for it? See, now I know that I am doing the right thing by asking you people so many questions. lol |
