Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: Sister Shotgun on 08/10/09 01:47pm

My neighbor asked me why I did not keep the interior the original dark wood and I explained to her that it made the inside look smaller and kept the temp inside hotter.

Now it looks larger inside and it stays cooler as well.

I used to really like to have everything dark, but now I prefer everything to be light and cheery.

I prefer lighter interiors, too, especially in an RV - for the same reasons: lighter, bigger, cooler.

I need to figure out what type of material to use to make new curtains..The cab over bunk has the type that uses snaps. I can get snap tape and sew that into the curtains..I am tempted to use thermal or insulated fabric similar to the kind of curtains I have in my house. Then of course I get to figure out what color to make the curtains..So many decisions LOL

I'd be more than tempted - thermal/insulated fabric will make a HUGE difference when it's hot outside (and when it's cold, too).

Oh yeah, I am more than a little tempted..The toilet and the escape hatch arrived today..

Now the fun starts..I found one bolt in front of the old toilet, but I cannot find the second bolt anywhere..

Will I have to drop the black tank to put in the new toilet?

I found the second bolt, it was all the way in the back of the toilet..I have now given hugging the toilet a new meaning..Very tight squeeze trying to loosen that bolt..

Glad you found it! Sorry I didn't see this sooner...

The new toilet has been installed and does not leak! And yes I put on that new rubber gasket thingy and once I tightened it down I sat on it and found that it needed to be tightened more.
