All silliness aside... I'm glad to hear from you. You and Leeann keep this rowdy bunch here in check- even me... y'all are kinda like the Cub Scout den mothers for all of us here...

Hear that, Leeann. Now we have job descriptions ;0)

Mark, you asked:

Look at that ladder!

Converting to diesel, hey what's wrong with that. Too many "purists" saying you "shouldn't" reminds me of Catholic school.
I never did as I was told.

Neil Young converted his '63 Lincoln to run on hydrogen which doesn't make it less of a Lincoln, just cheap to drive.

Trish and Leeann

If this thread were a forum unto itself, guess what? Both of you, and
a few other folk in here would be Moderators and Administrators.
I have that much faith in both of you. And... you never know what I might do... so if I ever beg for help I may not be kidding! So you would literally sit on the throne- then I could be the court jester and remain in my strait jacket...hee hee!!

Trish, I never did what I was told either- that's why I turned out like I did. And I'm the son of a preacher. Two strikes...

Hydrogen? I saw some Lincoln prototypes that were alternative fuel...
I think hydrogen or CNG was one of the fuels... kewl.

Go register, already. Neat stuff and excellent vintage-yet-new Travcos.

Then there's this:

A PK. Now it is all explained....

Seriously, though. Who cares if you drop in a Cummins 6BT with A518 tranny? They come stock in Dodge trucks now (and have since forever). And were options on some vans for a while, too. What's the big deal?

I think it's a perfect fit, personally. All the torque you'd ever want, plus decent cruise, all with better-than-gas fuel mileage.

It's a no-brainer to me.

Oh, god...now there's a job description. I think that's the first time I've ever been called that... [emoticon]

Yup. Hated by fathers, feared by mothers, adored by... ahem... just
kidding...

I'd like to do something like that. With a vegoil system to switch over to when up to temp, and on the highway. Just one of those little things you don't brag about... you just sit there and listen sympathetically to others griping about the cost of fuel, and empathize... to a degree...lol

Serves you right for being the wonderful girl you is, sunshine...
If it weren't for you, Trish, and several other folks in here, this thread would go straight to Hades in a handbasket. I KNOW that. Credit where credit is due. I owe a LOT to you. And I don't forget it.

Otay, I checks it out.... tanks!

Thanks Eyeteeth, I'm thinking about finding one that I can do some
work on. There's a 1966 model I'm gonna check out, in Louisiana.
Wish I could afford one already restored- that would be a dream...
