Sam complains about 'em mightily.
I hate them on my '84 Wing too. Front end gets light and you drag floorboards if you go too fast. [emoticon]

Hey all! I thought I'd toss in my card too. I have a 78 Dodge Champion Motorhome, class A. I have redesigned a new doghouse that has 5/8" plywood and sound deadoning material on the bottom, metal slip-in rails and foam/carpet on top. I hear nothing. My exhuast runs way back behind the right rears. My HUGE issue is like other Champions...ALLLLL over the place when anything larger than a VW passes me. Then to try and correct puts the thing into a "porpoise" that can only be stopped by braking and an occasional emergency lane use. I have "some" stabilizer thing up front on my leafed-drop axle, and not-so beefy sways @the rear. So I was thinking about wider radials, front end check of course, but most important; weight disto. Most I can't change but my grey/blacks are large and cumbersome. I'm glad to see you all had solved with combo/smaller tanks. Any Dodge M40 chassis to help?

Hey Nitefire:
I have the wiring diagrams for the 18ft Concourse. Its smaller than yours but the wiring may be the same. I have the whole manual actually for the 1977 Dodge Chinook Concouse if you think it will help. Not sure if the wiring is the same or not but it must be similar.

Ken, that's why you're supposed to have a helper [emoticon]

I want pics of 'em installed...and I wanna know how they feel, too. Dangit.
Okay Leeann... I climbed under the RV this evening as it was sprinkling for your pictures. Note that I'm not totally done as I still need to adjust the springs to align with the frame. It still rides much better than it did without them.

Nightfire,
congrats on the Brougham.. I have a 74 Brougham I bought last year. I have been spending most of the time on it fixing water damage and resealing drip rails, windows etc. I am still working on the inside now and haven't hooked up batteries or anything. I do plug mine in to house power and everything works fine with the inverter set for 110. I would suggest trying that first to make sure your lights and plug ins work, refer gets cold when set to electric. I understand you want to use a marine deep cycle battery for the coach(side compartment). Others here can give you advise on this but I think most people use multiple batteries hooked together to extend usage time. I don;t have manuel to help you with but I have just spent time crawling around it trying to figure out what goes where. Anywho... welcome aboard... A.

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

We use an Odyssey battery for our coach battery (bought at http://www.batterymart.com). We were dry camping this weekend and never got below 12.28 on the charge, even though we never ran the generator (better part of 4 days).

Lots of people have had really good luck tying 2 6v golf cart batteries together, too.
