Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: Jer&Ger on 02/27/08 08:00pm

I thought this was a forum for discussing Dodge MH's. Where's the mod's to get this back on topic?

If you look at the post above you, they ARE talking about Dodge MHs. And the things we do while using our Dodge MHs / the reason for buying them in the first place.

We haven't done anything to the Concord since we got the last roof leak sealed up, but next step is to finish the stepwell with the laminate. Then we need to buy the material and the foam to have cushions made for the dinette as it didn't come with ANY. We have fold-up camp pads we use as a bed base at the moment, but they're awkward (fold down to large squares) and don't store well for travel.

Not Eric, but I'll answer this one... Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.

Or for those who have a sense of humor about it... ''Those nuts who like to dress up and play with swords''.

Yep, I know a couple. [emoticon]

Best friend makes clothes for others and her and her husband like to play with swords.

Swords, trebuchets and the like?

Someday those skills might come in handy. I like antique weaponry, but never got into the medival part . . .to hard to see to get around without my bifocal pop bottle bottoms.[emoticon]

Forgive me. I just got my M/H a year ago last fall and I've yet to really do any travelling in it. So far we've gone from Moab UT to Salt Lake UT once and back and from Moab UT to Canon City CO in the form of moving back home

So, I'm learning about camping and activities while camping that my wife and I might enjoy. I didn't know this was against the rules.

So, I do hope you'll forgive a novice trying to become a little more expert in a new hobby.

Jer & Ger, welcome!

I went to your profile and looked at the picture of your rig, and wished mine looked one-tenth as good. This is indeed a thread where rigs like ours are discussed- mine's a '72. I personally apologize for the rambling- it's sometimes hard to not jaw a little about things, and I've met folk from all walks of life, situations and occupations. There is a
wealth of information and advice here I never thought existed. When I brought our rig home the first time, my YF honestly thought I had gone south mentally for good. After feeling sorry for me for a while she decided to "decorate the playhouse" too, and it's been fun ever since.
'Specially since I can't sew worth a dang...

Welcome to our unique little group out here- we all have our reasons for loving these old tubs, and we all like the new shiny stuff. But
some of us just can't see making that degree of an investment for a
recreational rig. Most of these old rigs have many years of life left to 'em too. And it's just so much fun to say "Mine's paid for." That
just says everything...

Browse through our posts and join us- tell us about your rig, how you bought it, what you've done to make it your own. And if it has a name-even better! Mine's the "Kobayashi Maru"- Star Trek speak for "no-win situation". Believe me, that's what it looked like sitting in the driveway right after I bought it.

Happy Trails!

AND DON'T LET ME CATCH YOU DOING IT AGAIN!!!!
[emoticon]

Mark-

This is a HOBBY, not a BUSINESS. This the WORLD WIDE WEB. If we were all in the same county, we wouldn't need this www for our HOBBY. We'd all just take a meeting at a local saloon. But since this IS the web, and we are from all places planet wide, while sharing the similar interest of our hobby, some OT BANTER between new friends BETTER be allowed! [emoticon] Otherwise, what's the fun in being in the HOBBY in the first place????

polite rant off
