Rob,
I have a 74 Brougham that has water damage in cabover sleeper also. Mine is wood frame construction so I have stripped the paneling off and I am replacing the damaged wood. It is not as scary as it sounds. I did build travel trailers back about the time mine was made so I kind of remember how they went together. [emoticon] PM me if you have some questions about what I am doing
thanks,
Al

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

ok...... What happened to Mopar Truck World, please?

Either Jeff forgot to pay the domain name re-registration or the host screwed up (again).

It's being worked on, I promise....

Oh, good. I miss the place, you know.

'Nother note: Leeann, I called the fella in Delmar with the Honda, believe it or not, no one bought it! So I sent him a MO yesterday. It had had its pull-rope-thing robbed for another unit, said he'd put a new one on it.

Check this --he also said if it didn't work, he'd give me my money back.
It's worth keeping even if it needs rebuilt.

How is your Astro?

Yikes!

Good - and glad he'll put a new pull-rope on it. Wow - a guarantee. Even better. Yes, it is.

We haven't yet looked for an engine (waaaaaaah). Had to go over and start pulling the blown motor out of the ancient boat, then get the rest of the metal out of it so we can pay $250 to take the shell to the dump, getting it out of the bf's brother's yard ('cause his gf is complaining...but that's another story).

here is another question- the fridge that is in my rig, a dometic, doesn't work for some reason. tried it both on gas and on electric to no avail. i am wondering if it makes more sense to take it to a service center and have them look at the dometic to see if it can be fixed or whether it would be easier just to pull it out and put in a standard little mini fridge. any replies would be welcome.
also the main part that i am looking for right now is a replacement fiberglass gas fill bezel- ie. the flange piece that secures the gas filler neck to the outside of the motorhome- any ideas where to find?

Rob FYI, I installed a small household frig in my unit. When shore power is not available I use the gen-set. We usually load up at home before a trip and let the frig get really cold. Also have found that if you put frozen gallons of water in during hot summer days helps keep cooler.

Our road trips will be at a standstill for next couple years. Bought 2 acres land this summer bordering National Forest. Spent the summer staying in the rig and prepping land for building. Will be using the rig as a base until garage finished. Putting in a 30 x 32 with one side built just for the MH. After the house is built, plans are for a total rebuild of rig. Hopefully during this rebuild I won't have our son misplace the 440 into his challanger!!!!!!

Here comes the "Chuck Wagon"

That's OK. Your rig will work just fine with the slant six or the 318! [emoticon]

Now that the system is back after 24 hours... I'd like to see that Tioga trying to get to 45 with a 225 Slant Six in it. ROTFLMOL

Why not? Clark Cortez used the 225 w/ a clutchless shift for years.
Those were hell-a-cool motorhomes, saw one on eBay not 3 weeks after I bought the Travco.
Yes, I would have bought the CC instead.
