Topic: How many of us are there? Owners of Dodge based RV's?

Posted By: 79powerwagon on 12/25/07 04:07pm

Yes, Merry Christmas all you Mopar fools! [emoticon]

Mine is quite good despite the problems of this past Friday (Kimberley ambulanced outta here, verge of death) but she's stable and home (as of Sunday PM), and we did have a great Christmas together anyway! She's back at the doctors in the morning, we'll see what they found out with the biopsies...

I hope all of you had a stress-free holiday!

Peace!

She ain't purdy, but at least she's slow!

^ oh, god...that's not good - keep us informed, Eric [emoticon]

I'm glad she's home and stable, though.

Thanks guys, I appreciate that!

It was strange, I was driving home from work Friday night and my 2 cell phones kept ringing then hanging up. As I neared my house, I was following an ambulance with it's lights on. Imagine my surprize when it turned into my driveway (which was full of cops and fire trucks). I asked the EMT who got out of the ambulance what was going on, he replied that "there is a young woman unconscious on the kitchen floor drenched in blood". I knew this wasn't going to be good!

Sure enough, there was Kimberley laying on the floor SOAKED in blood, and they could only revive her for seconds at a time. They didn't even try to take any vitals, they threw her on the gurney and out the door they went! Since our cats were licking up the blood (and we're talking like 40 sq. ft. of solid blood, not drops, looked like a can of paint spilled), so I quickly covered all of it with towels and anything else I could find, grabbed her purse, locked up the house, and ran to the hospital to see what was going on!

After 7 hours in the emergency room (and 4 liters through the iv), the doctor came in and said what happened. Her uterus "blew up" for lack of a better description. They got her stablized, admitted to a room, and started the barrage of tests. Her blood pressure was so low the monitors kept alarming because they couldn't register that low.

By Sunday afternoon, all the tests were done, she was stable, and I got to take her home. She's trying to be active, but runs out of steam very quickly. She's been sleeping about 20 hours a day, but not straight through.

We did have a wonderful Christmas despite all, and she goes back this morning to see what needs to happen next.

I tell you, this has been the scariest thing I've ever encountered! Since Friday, I've gotten about 12 hours of sleep, I'm beat! My mother died at 57 yo of ovarian cancer 4 months after being diagnosed. This is ringing just a little too familar to me, and I'm worried. But I won't freak out until I hear what the doctor has to say.

Thanks all!

Eric

Eric - with luck (my fingers and toes are crossed), we're talking fibroid tumors, which are not cancerous in any way. This is what happened to my sister-in-law. She actually ended up having a baby after all that, believe it or not.

Oh, no ...

I've heard of this...
It's an anti-clotting thing your body does (why?) plus stress ('why' does not apply) plus your period.
Ok, Eric, not your period, but us girls ....

Let us know how Kimberley is when you get back.

Thanks ladies, yes fiboids, but they're also concerned because one of her ovaries is enlarged, and they can't find the other one anymore (big change in a years time), so they're being cautious...

Eric,
Don't know what to say except, our prayers are with you and Kimberley. I hope you get some good news at the Dr's today...
Al

I don't think anyones dying statement ever contained the words "I wish I had spent more time in the office", so lets go somewhere!

Eric,

Please tell Kimberley that she has friends that she hasn't
even met praying for her... let her know that. You are in
my thoughts and prayers too- for your strength and endurance
for Kimberley- she'll need all of your help. Please let us know
how we can help besides prayers too. She's one of ours, just
like you.

Folks- please-

Circle the wagons in prayer.

Mark
