A HP 413 ??... !!! ..... how do you figure ??

What's up, Master BD, is I don't like being a targeted buying demographic. Not just me, all of us.
Fella got an awesome deal, showed up here, we welcomed him. Gave him a ton of links and tips. Must've included finding out Travcos aren't 'common' anymore. Well, yeah... since no new ones were built after the Chrysler bail-out.
Week later, he tried to flog it off (on any one of us).

When my dad was running his rods, folks would come over and yammer on the cars. 2 weeks later, they'd be trying to flog something they "said" Andy Davis had built /rebuilt. Or claimed to have one of his carbs on it....
Irked me then, irks me now.

HP = BB?

Well TD .... don't you think that the markup he desires is kind of justified ? .... he had to pay someone BIG-BUX on the write-up on eBay !! .... But the brakes are STILL not fixed !!

A HP 413 ? .... there is NO truck/motorhome 413 that is CLOSE to being "High Performance" !! ...... [emoticon]

I know .... I have quite a few of them. HELL - last year I bought FOUR 413's from a guy at the Mopar Nats ! They ARE a good motor for what they were designed for.

Nothing like being Boondoggled to end the day ....HUH!

Oh well, some peeps spend thier life taking advantage of good natured people, others spend it like MOST of us, helping others.

It's all "What's in it for me" for some of us.....[emoticon]

Well, if anyone needs help, we'll be here Right Ya all?

Happy Holidays to you all and to all a Good night!

This thread is the coolest. I have met terrific folks here.
Got a LOT of excellent advice from them and when I had the good sense to follow it, my Travco benefited from their expertise and myself for their ongoing friendship.

Hello folks!

That's what makes it all worthwhile. These words right here.
Still true and 204 pages strong. Happy Holidays to all of you
here, may this find all of you and yours well and warm and happy!
May God watch over us all and bless!! I count myself the most
fortunate man in the Universe to be right here, right now, with
the best folk I could ever imagine associating with!

William Webb, Seattle Washington K7EBK

This was my father, he was a real Ham freak...LOL. Bless his soul, he is gone now. You two may have talked in the past.

He and his brother(Robert - don't know his call letters) started back in 1957 to keep in touch when the family went thier own way. Dad was in Seattle, Uncle Bob moved to Phoenix and they spent hours talking. Dad built this shack in the back yard...And man was he PROUD of this TOWER, when he finally got it!

Here are pictures of his Radio Shack he built and his "Rig". Half of it is Heath Kit, self built.

Just an FYI, and Thanks for bringing these nice memories back.......[emoticon]

P.S. I meant to mention, those HOURS were spent talking to people all over the world.....[emoticon]

It's a LONG fuel line from the tank. Leave the cap off and keep cranking it, no more than 5 seconds at time...

She ain't purdy, but at least she's slow!

Clean that Gas tank out............I don't think you'll be sorry.

Well, its on the to-do list... I need to move it off the sand (fire ants and other assorted creepie-crawlies) and on to the concrete first, so I can crawl under. Plus, I need to find a bunch of 5 gallon gas cans and a decent siphon hose. So much to do, and so few of me....
Have you ever noticed that no matter what you want to do, you always have to do something else first?

If it doesn't fit, get a Biggerhammer.

I GOTTA remember the place that did the gas tank outta my Merc. It was a mess and my fault.
75AC ran out of gas, I left gas sit in it for 6 years...
...yes yes, I knew better...

Anyway, this company does a coating thing inside the tank after they sandblast it (in & out).
Couple hundred dollars and worth it.
Easier to find a '77 Dodge van gas tank than a '41 Mercury tank!

No. Never. Uh-uh.

75AC --you know that diaphragm thing? Check that.
Yeah, they can suck themselves shut.
So can fuel lines, rare but has happened.
