eyeteeth,

Thanks for the heads up. I do not have cabinet, so will probly go with the 18". Mine is a little low now, may be easier on the ole back...LOL. I'll also check that waterline, get everything in one trip hopefully.[emoticon]

Have a great weekend.

%)#^$#.....Geeeeez, I think there's more room in the glove compartment of this Chinook, then in this bathroom.....[emoticon] 3 grueling hours later, I be with Toilet....LOL. They must have hired MICE to assemble this thing. [emoticon]

It was only 107 out today, 150 inside the rig. But a few busted knuckles and banged up elbow's, I got this Aqua Magic III piece of crap...(no punn intended there)... out and cleaned up. It was actually in very good shape, thought I would replace it, but only problem seemed to be the seal. So I replaced it, with the O-ring up on the seat assembly, and is working fine...[emoticon]

The water line was the same size on the Aqua Magic V by the way. I'll be taking it back (with the riser) and closing the book on this project.

We are headed out in the morning to the local shooting range, to do some Skeet shooting. I'm going to hook up in the RV park and flush the entire system out. Using that GEO method I have read about. Got 6 gals of water in the tank now with the water softner, should be pretty well slushed around by the time I get up there in the morning.

I bought a Hydroflush and plan on doing a number on it. At least I will know that was done and I'll only be dealing with my******in the future......[emoticon]

Have a great day ya all...thanks for all the input!

Gary - I think mice assembled mine, too. If you don't put up the lid on the toilet before you get in, it's almost impossible to do [emoticon]

I know about Wild Blue's issues, btw. All satellite ISPs have the same ones...but Wild Blue seems to have less than most, plus it's sat. both ways instead of sat. down and dialup up, like HughesNet. And it's better than the 18,800 dialup (at best) they get out in the boonies.

Trish has forwarded a few pics to me, with more to come, of the '66 Travco. I'll start putting them up here in a little bit for all to see and (helpfully) comment on.

Hey ya all,

Happy Sunday! Trip to the shooting range went well, had a good day and shot alot of CLAY....LOL.

This was the 1st time I really had this rig out on the open road(Hyway) and noticed kind of a rolling rumble, going down the road? This is a Dodge 360 chassis with NEW Pathfinder, D load 16.5 Radials on it. They have like 3600 miles on them. I've never driven anything over a 1/2 ton pick-up with an empty bed, and wondered if this was normal?[emoticon]...I doubt it.....

The ride was not bad, but this rumble has me puzzled. I had my mechanic go threw this pretty good when I bought it, he didn't mention any problems. Just wonder if it could be the tires, Tranny, Rearend? Anyone have similar ride?

Gary- I can't really tell 'cause our motor and exhaust are still a bit loud (though we're working on that), but I don't think ours does the rolling rumble. Your tires might just be loud - I've had tires that look the same as the previous tire, but be an order of magnitude louder. I have Denman tires, not Pathfinder, so I can't tell you for sure.

Yes, we in Ohio, too have errant pigeons.
Tough job, but somebody has to shoot them down. ;-) Usually my daughter.

What Leeann said about tires.
You will get that with truck tires.

Ok, this is how NOT to sell a motorhome. Or anything else..... ever.

Eric found that 66 in Eu Claire, we talked, compared notes, decided against it.
Owner listed it elsewhere BUT he used my name as a "reference."
I was understandably miffed and wrote to him and the webmaster to say so *and* to take my name off his ad.
Honest, I was nice about it.

The guy just called me up and yelled at me!

I swear... it's not like I said I'd treat him as if he were an errant pigeon.
Although that ought to be an option for pushy salesmen.

Trish,

Thanks for the info on tires, I just find it hard to believe they would make this kinda noise? Kind of like a rrrr,....rrrr,....rrrr all sycronized vibration though...LOL. Guess I'll see what others post after the Holiday, maybe someone can come up with something. Maybe even a drive shaft outta bal?

Just a note here, I was born in Warren, Ohio.[emoticon] Haven't been back there is 25 years though. We moved out here to Phoenix in '63 and I've only gone back once when I was in the service. My mothers family is all back there, never really got to know them well. Spent some summers back there at Family reunions when I was 6-8-10, but never have made it back.

Thanks again,

Leeann,

Well that's good news so far....[emoticon] At least I feel good that the rearend won't fall off on me on my 1st trip out...LOL.

I don't plan on running this thing over about 60, I always allow lots of time for my trips. I've been reading about this RPM thing also. Without a TACH, I will have to estimate that I guess, but I'll just be sure to keep it in 2nd about 35 going up this hill to Flagstaff from Phoenix. Two big climbs out of the Valley here, about 6 mile and 7 mile hikes, up to about 6000-7000 elevation. Never know, it may go 70...LOL. This 360 is a good engine, just with 136K miles, won't be pushing it too hard. So far has been running real good in this heat we've been having, I'll have to get her on the road and try it out!

I have a small 16ft aluminum boat I'll be hauling, but no weight to that at all, should be a breeze, just like this Toilet...[emoticon]

I also have road service so not to worry.......

Thanks for the input,

That was almost fun. lol. ya know... it's kinda cool where you can park and have lunch. the service was terrible, but the view was pretty good.

Ran into what appears to be a "recurring" problem. Happens mostly at highway speeds... after traveling for a couple hours. Occasionally, when when going up an incline... can be slight, they engine will stumble, buck, then eventually catch again. Sometimes, when it's really bad, it will even backfire... several times. Out of curiosity... once, when it was running fine again, I floored it... and it did the same thing. Any ideas?

Hmmm....sounds like maybe carb. bf says maybe running lean - also, check your plug gap. If it is to spec, narrow them a bit. If you haven't changed either plugs or wires (or coil) recently, do so.

Happened to the '75 El Dorado with 360 we had first....on EVERY incline.
