OOooooo Baby! This was exactly the group I was looking for! Wife and I just bought a 1976 Dodge Jamboree to fix up! Going through the basic wiring updates now and will probably circle back as more difficult problems arise but wanted to just say hello!

Welcome aboard. [emoticon] It's been quiet around here for a while. Maybe with Summer coming, and your new post, it'll liven up again? [emoticon]

Well let's see since last time I was on a lot has changed with my leprechaun. We replaced alot of the old water damaged panels. Ripped out the carpet and replaced it with vinyl floor. Replaced the failed roof vent above the cab. Also pulled all the trim off and windows out and resealed them using new butyl tape and new gimp. Replaced the hot water heater and furnace. All new fuel lines for the engine including a vent line that had previously been non existent. I even had the exterior door completely replaced due to the old one having failed structurally.

Well let's see, I got rear-ended on December 7th in my Z06 Corvette. An 87 year-old man hit me in his pickup truck going 40MPH and never slowed down; on June 6th I finally had shoulder surgery to repair the damage he did. The kicker is that the old MF'r had the temerity to say that it was my fault, because I was stopped....15 feet behind a GMC Yukon that he pushed me under. So I was hit on Pearl Harbor Day and operated on D-Day....I'm quite the patriot! I'm also suing him, since he doesn't want to take responsibility for his mistake.

Unfortunately, the Z06 didn't fare as well, it was a total loss. I still have headaches and ringing in my ears.

I did finally finish plumbing the Monaco. I installed a toilet and new 10-gallon Dometic water heater. My big issue now is getting the secondaries on my Thermo-Quad to engage. I have stripped that SOB down four times now and looked at all the linkage and followed the rebuild and adjustment steps to the letter and the secondary linkage just isn't engaging.

When I get a settlement from the lawsuit, I'm going to send my Thermo-Quad off to Harm's Carburetor Restorations, in Spokane Valley, WA.

Et vous, comment ça va?

WOW! Sorry to hear that. Did the police show up and write a report?
My neighbor just got rear ended today, on the blvd, and Midland while waiting at a Red light. He got a report written, and the officer said he's still investigating the kid that hit him.
I hope you get justice.
PS, Anybody heard from Griff?

Like some of the other folks who've been on this thread for a while ...

Turns out the second heart attack did a number on me physically and mentally. So, I've been having to face the fact there's many things that I can't do any more.

I was also diagnose a few weeks ago with severe osteoarthritis in my left hip. That's on top of the chronic right knee pain.

But it's not all bad news ...

My wife made headway with the VA, both in terms of her care (she's a veteran too) and my care. In particular, we're now exempt from copays due to household income level.

My chronic depression has been stable at a fairly good level and no PTSD episodes in well over a year. (Nightmares still but I've learned to manage those.)

Being limited physically, I've shifted back to sewing and loom beading.

I've finally joined Facebook ... https://www.facebook.com/FairbanksGriffin or Search for Michael D. Griffin

Holy ****, man...I hope the headaches and ringing go away soon. And that the police make the old guy take responsibility for his mistake - and then take his license away.

It’s summer and we’re busy, running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Not getting nearly as much done as I did 10 years ago, though...

I've been rear ended 5 times in my Yukon.... none of them remotely as serious. My biggest fear as a motorcyclist has been what's behind me. (Although all these idiots staring at their phones now while driving is pretty much tied)

Griff.. sorry to hear your news as well...

I dumped close to 2 grand into my fricken' genset over the past year or so. But... now it finally starts up and purrs. Never did that before.

I cleaned off the front roof seam to bare aluminum and resealed that as it did not fair the winter well... AT ALL.

The Fridge vent hood somehow disappeared over the winter. I have a new one on order. I also ordered a DC thermostat controlled fan to install in the fridge vent. that should help it out while boon docking. The color ones are discontinued. They wouldn't last a year.

Now I may ask for some advise on painting the cab area of the RV. have a weird crack thing going with the paint. Like to take care of that.... thinking it will be Krylon to the rescue.

Hope everyone is fairing as best they can. I was recently just thinking about posting an update here, then I saw there were a bunch of new messages.
