GM is supposedly doing a 6.6L gasser in the 2020 2500/3500 series. 400 hp / 450 torque. Direct injection. Some aspects I don't like about it so I will not consider it anytime soon. But that is my general consensus regarding just about everything that is being made now, irregardless of OEM brand. Nothing really motivates me to to even take a look, let alone consider buying. Kind of a good thing in a way.

At some fuel stations in California, diesel has ticked up to $1.00 (99 cents) per gallon higher than 87 octane regular unleaded gas. (Spring 2019)

in my area the difference is between .70 and .90 cent gallon.. I have a '03 7.3 and if fuel stays this far apart in 4-5 yrs when we are thinking about selling/trading the ford in we might be looking at gas over diesel.

Thus far not big expense on the engine but know the trans if weak point of the ford 7.3 with the 4R100 trans.. (too bad the ford 6.0L engine is such a dude as the 5R110 trans was a beast. )

"Some" being the operative word. Maybe it's different in NorCal, but if you know where to look, diesel is priced +/- 20 cents of 87 across Southern California from he dozens of stations I drive past daily. Where I fill up weekly it's 10 cents less, for instance.

Now, there's always the one scumbag that charges it a buck more....but then that goes for unscrupulous gas stations that do the same with 87/89/91 to compared to others.

City of Pasadena, the Mobil at the corner of Foothill and Sierra Madre just off the 210 freeway is one, but there are too many to list in LA County. $4.09 currently which is less than all gas.

Well bought for ease of towing, and currently in the greater Portland area diesel is about 10 cents a gallon LESS than Gas.

For us we pull our 13000 lb 5th wheel with a 2011 f250 6.2L gasser with 3:73 locker and yes we are overloaded by 1000lb. We have 150000 on the truck now and she has performed beautifully. So we ordered a 2019 f350 6.2l with a 4:30 locker. We full time so this will get us up the mountains a little easier.
