2019–22 Coronavirus Pandemic Postings
Due the confusion, and some alarm, being created by many posts being made about the Virus pandemic we are going to make a change on how to post about the Virus in this forum.
Many posts about the Virus Pandemic are being made without appropriate documentation validation. This is leading to the spread of incorrect, and possibly dangerous, information and conjecture. The well being of all our members is paramount.
Therefore, we are requesting any future posts related in any way to the Virus be made in this thread and this thread only. We are closing any other Virus related threads in ATC.
We ask you share only information that may be helpful and/or comforting to our members. In addition, we ask you only post information regarding current status of, spread of, medication for, behaviors advised, etc. from those sources most capable of providing current and accurate information, and please cite and/or quote the source(s). Some examples are the World Health Organization, National Institute for Health, and the Center for Disease Control.
We will closely monitor the posts for adherence to the above guidelines. We are all in this together, let us work together, and watch out for the health of each other. We have made this a ‘sticky’ so it will remain at the top of the forum.
If you have any concerns/complaints about this change in posting policy please contact us via the Private Message function rather than complain within the forum.
Thank you!

Hi,
Mr Moderator, thanks for putting this in place.
I'm happy to report that Saskatchewan has 80 folks with covid--but so far no community transmission.
We are under a voluntary shelter in place, but unless folks do this I expect the Federal Government may invoke extraordinary powers.
The Mayor in my community wants to go to a lockdown except for essential services. The Premier over ruled the Mayor. I think excessive caution should be a byword for this crisis, so I'm on the Mayor's side.
We can beat this if we all work together.
Regards, Don

Yes we can and yes we will. And, yes, it takes everyone cooperating.

Be VERY careful when you see headlines line this: "French Peer-Reviewed Study: Our Treatment Cured 100% Of Coronavirus Patients"
At least one source claims this article is FALSE!

Ontario Gov. has issued it's list of essential services.
Makes you wonder what is closed.

All of us, moderators, are working to be sure the most reliable information is provided. What is not needed is false hope, incorrect information, dangerous medical advice, and other inappropriate postings be made in the forums. It is not 'business as usual' on rv.net.
