Last month we sent Shorty, the last of the Schnauzer pack to the bridge. Her brother Floppy went 40 days before that and and her litter mate Long almost two years ago. Our hearts, our lives and especially camping will never be the same.

We have the trailer because we needed enough room for them and their stuff. We wanted to try Campgrounds but went back to boondocking because they are schnauzers and bark at every thing they can see or hear. We never used the heater until Honey was worried they were cold. Let them pant twice and there had better be a string to pull, a button to push or something resulting in air conditioning. They loved the couch and that was a godsend as it left some floor space for walking. We started camping again when they were 8 and already arthritic but not up there. They ran and played like pups and always seemed to be stronger afterwards. I really think it extended their lives by years.

Here they are doing their favorite things, camping and sucking up the loving. Short tail on the left, then Floppy and Long tail on the right. The pack is together again, heaven help the bridge.

Our beloved Yogi (originally DOG aka Dee Oh Gee...it's a long story) crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today. She would have been ten in April

She was taken from us, TOO EARLY, by an abdominal bleed from a hemangiosarcoma (cancer on her spleen) that was diagnosed only ten days ago. We had hoped for the best, more time with her, but had expected the worst and her rapid decline finally gave us little choice but to ease her on her way.

We love her dearly and will miss her always gentle spirit, her "moose sounds", and her unconditional love.

WE LOVE YOU BIG DOG !!

As you can see by the image of her on the RV couch, she was 130 lbs of love.

A bit of canine wrestlemania with her friend Ollie.

Our thirteen year old rescue Hobo went to Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. She was a great companion for eight years. So much love wrapped up in a bundle of fur.

I guess we should feel lucky my last post on this thread was 10 years ago. We lost another hall of fame friend and travel companion Sunday 3/4. She was a local rescue and we only had her for six short years. Gertie was an ideal RV dog as she loved to travel. She was happiest up front watching the scenery while our older beag (16) pretty much sleeps the day away. Here is a great picture of Gertie holding down the drivers seat while I'm filling up the tank! [image]
