RE: I have a disgusting problem… HELP!!!

^^ They MAY have used a macerator to fill the drums?? They usually use a 3/4" garden hose as the output hose.

RE: Help identify high volume truck dealers

what are you looking for? 3/4 ton,1 ton? DRW, SRW ? trim level? Researching right now, but looking at 1 ton trucks in either XLT or Lariat. The bride will need to decide if XLT has enough gadgets for her or not. I'm curious how much actual payload is available in the 12,400 GVWR trucks with those trim levels. Otherwise, might be looking at a DRW. My brother in law has a 2022 Lariat with the 12,400#,,, his payload is 3500 I believe... If I get a chance tomorrow I will take a look at one of our 350's to see the trim and payload for you.

RE: Help identify high volume truck dealers

what are you looking for? 3/4 ton,1 ton? DRW, SRW ? trim level? We have been getting the XL-XLT levels delivered weekly, but not much above that.. The place I work ( Ford ) is about 2-1/2 hrs north of DC. We did a dealer trade with Ted Britt over in Fairfax and when I got there to do the trade they were a larger dealership...nice people also.. They show a bunch of 250's in XL and XLT with 5 in the Lariat trim..

RE: I have a disgusting problem… HELP!!!

I like the back hoe- dog hole and bury idea the best.. My buddy has 90 acres up northern PA, he burried a 55 gallon drum with holes punched in it so he can drain his RV when he boondocks up there..

RE: 5th Wheel Cover before snowbirding

I would rather walk on a snow covered RV roof, than snow covered tarp/cover on RV roof... I DO NOT cover and never have... IF I will be going out soon, I make sure I go up with a bower and remove what I can.. ONLY if it is gonna melt-re freeze ect.... that **** is a pain to get off. If I am not going anywhere soon, I let father sun take care of it

RE: Fifth wheel chucking (practical help needed)

it could be a lot of things..... what part of PA are you from? I HAD a Lippert Flex Air hitch ( basically the same ) and had chucking from the airbag being low at times.... thats a fast check

RE: Camping World or Mom and Pop

Its all about the $$$$$ … IF you save enough dough to make a difference it worth it… we have purchased feom BOTH mom and Pop places and big super stores… To me, an RV warranty os pretty short, alot of RV owners make their own repairs, so jo need for after the sale service. FWIW- my daughter purchased her 21 Vibe from the Lakewood Camping World and the experience was good.. she has had it back twice for service with zero issues.. The RV was done when they said it would be, and the work was right.

RE: Why Does My A/C Have These Slats?

^^^ Yup... my buddy has that configuration as well.. When he gets to a CG. he will open those slats and allow the cold air to DUMP into the RV.. once comfortable, he closes them and allows the air to be distributed via the ducting...

RE: Carbon ceramic pads question

My goodness. I started this thread to find out if using carbon fiber ceramic pads are compatible with stock rotors. I never, in a million years, thought that it would cause the same stir as Ford v. Chevy v. Ram. Lol imma going to finish reading this thread as soon as I get back from pulling my 43' fiver with my Rivian with semi metallic pads and Anderson hitch...

RE: Carbon ceramic pads question

An “S” and a “Z” don’t look anything alike - they’re total opposites. There is history behind my sarcastic statement. LONG HISTORY ! ! :B

RE: Ford files trademark for F200 pickup.

I will say this.... I left my career of 40+ years for several reasons, non of which have to do with camping... I started a non stress job working for a friend that owns a chain of Auto dealerships.. 2 Mazda, 2 Subaru, and 7 Ford... I am a driver and move vehicles form dealership to dealership, make new vehicle deliveries, so on... My ( Long winded ) point is, I have gotten to drive some pretty cool vehicles, and 1 is the Lightening ... That truck is a nice ride ! ! Will I own one NO... But they are very comfortable and a great handling truck... They have a place here, not my place, not many on here's place, but SOME people want them...

RE: How to search for tires?

why NOT balance RV tires?? They are round, spin and can be out of balance... And heck, MOST places just include it in the cost and don't discount if balancing isn't done anyway ?? So, from someone who IS NOT a tire specialist , why balance car/truck tires and NOT RV tires.... Real answers please, not just " my shop told me" Ive been RV'ing since the early 80's and have always balanced my RV tires, why?? Why Not? what harm will it do?

RE: what is best way to get TV stations in RV

^^^ I use a Winegard Traveler satellite antenna... Once I am level, I hit the button to turn it on, let it acquire the sats while I finish setting everything up... By the time I'm done its done

RE: Go around northeast Ohio

I have driven from SE PA to West of Cleveland every 6-8 weeks for the past 8 years... I was pulled over a total of 1 time, and that was in PA.. I Was doing 88 in a 70 just East of Pittsburgh.. received a non moving citation for a turnpike violation... That way I did not get points or effect my insurance.. I do NOT have a light foot, and have a PA license plate and have ZERO pull overs in Ohio.. Lucky ??????

RE: Go around northeast Ohio

so................ You were speeding, got a citation mailed to you instead of being chased by the LEO and your mad?? IF you want to speed, you take that chance.... All of the states around PA has electronic speed control in almost ALL construction zones.... They usually park a car outfitted with a camera somewhere behind the jersey barrier to enforce . . Wanna play, gotta pay

RE: Interstate 80 through Pennsylvania

As long as everything is in good working order, you will be fine. The hills are NOT that bad, more of the rolling type.. LOTS of trucks, they run I80 so they do not have tp pay the LARGE payments on the PA Turnpike. It is $266.00 for a big rig ( class 7, 5 axle up to 80,000# ) to enter from NJ and Exit at Ohio on the Turn Pike..PA Turnpike calculator
