Well, there is no way to give you a tutorial thru words. No manual includes anything to tell you how the mechanicals function on any RV.
You will need to browse thru youtube videos for the best kind of 'free' help in the issues you have and just learn as you go!
I hope your situation improves as you move forward with the hand you are dealt..

This is what I have and it's over 22 years old and my dealer installed it and adjusted the hitch head height to match the new trailer tongue, which was higher then my old TT.
They did that job while I was going thru the walk thru of the trailer. Didn't charge me any extra $$ either..
All they had to do was put the stirrups on the trailer tongue and then adjust the hitch head to match, which was adjustable to begin with.
Maybe your hitch is not rated for the size of the new TT you got?
My WD hitch head is #14,000 with a #12,000 ball on it. The bars are #1000 rated so well within the specs of the new TT I got and still have and it all still works just fine..

RE: F53 Fuel filter removal tool won't fit?
If it's the first time to replace the filter, it could just be that the locks are stuck.. Spray some WD40 or your favorite penetrating spray on the ends to flush out the lock. Might need to do this several times to get any dirt out of there too.
Then insert the tool and get some needle nose pliers to help push it in at the same time pulling on the hose until it releases.
I had a 97 F150 with that style of fuel filter and I used the 'scissor' tool.
It was a PITA to do every time! Then you get all the gas that spills out when you finally get it off! :) So be prepared for that.

I would love to hear the actual stories of those that ended up with a twisted frame because they left their stabilizers down and got a flat tire.. Ha, ha..
But, I guess if you believe that, then you won't leave your stabilizers down in the first place..
Anyway, I always put mine down when I park it at home. Have not worried about getting a flat tire while it's parked. And even if it did, the other tire will take up the load. I know because I had 2 blowout recently and only 1 spare.. Limped to the tire store on 3 tires for about 10 miles..
I like the stable feeling of it when parked, as it gets unloaded and loaded with lots of trips back and forth. Plus I regularly check on it at least once a week, so it's just nice to have it stable.
That's just my story on it, but as others have said, it's whatever you are comfortable with doing just as in anything in life..

RE: Ball Height Adjustment Questions
For the high torque nuts, you will need to get a socket for that size. Likely around 1-1/8" and 1/2" drive. You will need a long breaker bar if you don't have a long handle torque wrench.
You won't need new nuts/bolts. Once you get that far, adjust accordingly.
If no torque wrench, just use your breaker bar and maybe even a 'cheater bar' on the end of that and tighten it up as much as you can without breaking the bar.. :)

And be more descriptive. What was wrong before…what “part” got fixed…’cause I don’t see any new parts around the carb or ignition.
And what’s up with the booger green spray paint on the brake rotor dust shields?
That’s “custom” too.
I had to go back and look at that again! So many "Custom" things on that deal I can't imagine any shop would send that out the door after charging for 'fixing it'??
Had to be done by a prior "DIY Guy" and you bought the rig that way?

It does seem to be going that direction for sure with the 12v fridges and all.. I like my gas/120v fridge. Does everything I need it to do..
I don't boondock, so my needs are different than a lot of others and I just know what has worked for me over the years..
Won't be getting any kind of "new" vehicle anytime soon... Will fix what I got and deal with it.. :)

I have a 2019 Forest River Rockwood Mini-Lite travel trailer and all the electronics are Furrion. The fridge is Dometic, the A/C is Coleman the stove/oven /water heater is a Suburban.
All seem to be working so far and no issues... Luck of the draw I think as far anyone having issues or not?
In the end, you will hear about more problems on any product than praises on any make/model/brand etc on the interwebs... It's free to complain about a product... It costs money to have someone praise something.. :) (note: no-one paid me to say that..)

In my experience using a surge protector plugged into the camp pedestal and then the trailer power plugged into it, I can monitor the volts being supplied and the amps going out.
If you are actively using hot water and have it set to electric, that's when it's heating and drawing around the 12a load. If it's up to temp and still turned on, it's not drawing any load at that moment.
When the A/C is running, it's around 10a. When the fridge is on electric, I see it drawing around 3a.
Micro pulls around 10a when on HIGH.
The A/C, Micro and converter all have their own breakers in the trailer. The Fridge and all the plugs in the rig share the same breaker.
I can run the A/C, Micro and the fridge on electric at the same time when the A/C is actively cooling. It's drawing around 25a on the surge protector at that time.
I usually only turn on the electric water heater as needed or when the A/C is not running too.
If I do have the A/C on and the electric water heater is heating, it's drawing around the same as when it's off and the micro is on..
So..... I just make sure at least the Micro or the water heater is off when the A/C is also running.. It's just a matter of managing the load and just not switching everything "ON" and not monitoring.
I also run a coffee maker, electric space heater and other things drawing off the plugs in the rig. Since these share the fridge breaker, I can only run the coffee maker and unplug the space heater or vice-versa.. Not all at the same time.
I have been using an extension cord run too the pedistal in the 20a plug and run it in the trailer and plug the space heater into it, then I can run them all at once.. :)
Just my experience with it on my rig.

Great idea and nice install! I had a little bit more room on the tongue of my trailer, so I went one step further and got a truck bed box and bolted it where the battery tray is. It locks, is water proof and holds the 2 batteries and I have storage space on either side of the batteries.

The box is designed for the side rails of a pickup truck. I think it was $150 from Northern Tool. Bonus is it secures the batteries as well! I have had batteries stolen on my old trailer sitting on the side of house!

Not sure on "model", but looks to be a single axle about 16-18' in length.
I remember that era of trailer well as a kid. Most had the propane lantern built in the rig! Looks to be a Ford Wagon towing it with a WD hitch setup. That's how it was done back then and no one cared about it's GVWR or "tow rating" :)

When buying anything used, a lot depends on the vehicles past maintenance history..
In my case, I have a 13 F150 Eco bought brand new, so I know my own maintenance history, but do I have proof of all the fluid changes and other minor stuff I have done on my own? Not really. I have a written 'log' of it all, but no receipts or other junk like that.. I have the recall paperwork done at the dealer and such of course.
Anyway, I've got 116,000 miles on my F150, but have not had any turbo related issues as such. Or timing chain/phaser issues or really any of the other stuff you will read about on the internet.
The 5.0 is not without it's 'issues' either...
On my rig anyway, "turbo lag" is not a thing.. I've never experienced it. Stab the go pedal and you GO...
The 5.0 needs rpms to get into it's power band, so high revs is what it likes. The Eco gets a lot of it's power down low torque wise.
140,000 + miles on either one will really need to be gone over, as that's about the time most 'major' things might start popping up in either flavor..
Again, it's oil change interval's is the biggest things.. If the previous owner only changed the oil when the dash light came on... Well... I'd walk away fast! if they changed around the 4-5,000 mile marks, then it's a lot better for sure!
Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide on!

Here is the floor plan of my "perfect couples trailer". I'm 6'3", so the queen bed works fine for me. (my feet always hang out the end of beds my whole life, so no big deal for me!)
We have the theater seat option, so no table, no couch, no hosting any parties! :)
We don't 'group camp' with family or friends, as we just like to get away for a long weekend ourselves..
We utilize the outside a lot, so mostly eat outside and stay outside or exploring the area during the day. Specs of the rig are in my sig.

What was the process of weighing it? I am not sure what the "M" in your "GVWR" means, but The "GVWR" of my Rockwood is #6995. I just round up to #7000.. :)
Anyway, I have actually never officially weighed it to date.. The registration lists the 'dry' weight and that's what I get charged for the yearly tags. We don't have vehicle "inspections" in our state, so do not have to deal with that mess...
I would think they had to have you unhitch the trailer with it's axles and tongue jack on the scale and that's it's "GVW".

Pretty sure it's the engine oil.. At least that's what my guess is going to be for.. :)
For that vintage of Dodge engines, it's just a big ol' V8 with a carb on the top and lots of internal tolerance on all the moving parts.
Any good 10w30 or 10w40 should work just fine. Don't get any of that "synthetic" types of oil, as they just cost more and those did not exist back when that engine was built.
Spend some extra $ on a decent filter. Avoid the 'cheapest' ones on the shelf.

Several things.. I think you are talking about it's towing level not parked once you get to your site.
Looks like you don't even have your propane cylinders installed yet. Those are going to add tongue weight.
You probably don't have the vehicle loaded for a weekend camping trip. People, stuff in the back, etc. Is the trailer loaded ready to camp too?
The receiver on the vehicle is probably not rated for a weight distributing hitch setup, neither is the vehicle, as it's just a uni-body SUV by the looks of it.
Your chains are still dragging, so you can 'twist' the links up to take up some of the length off, or have them cut to length and put on new hooks.
Might still be chewing off more than the vehicle can handle, but at least you are doing your homework first!
