RE: How do you sanitize your fresh-water tank and lines?

I don't.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System for FW

I could probably find any number of 12 volt circuits in and around the converter that I could use. My repeater sits in the refer compartment because it's directly above the wheels and it's a handy place to put it... and the 12v supply is there.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System for FW

I power the repeater with the refer 12v power. It's a very small load and it's never off.

RE: MPPT Volts to Current Conversion

If I was considering a 1800W solar system then a 48V battery setup would be part of the system. I like it.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System for FW

if the valve stem adapter has the ability to add air without removal, that would be even better!I've had the EEZTire system for about 10 years. 6 on the truck and 4 on the 5er. Bought the repeater also. I need to add air so infrequently that it's no big deal to remove them as needed, just as you would a regular valve stem cap. The anti-theft gadget on the sensors was a real pain, so I got rid of them. I figured these things aren't big targets for thieves. Mine also have temperature sensing, which I find as important as air pressure.

RE: MPPT Volts to Current Conversion

According to google, Starlink uses about 50-75w. That's about what mine does.

Ah yes, the ever popular ridiculousness of trying to save our environment.Do you believe we've affected our climate in 150 years?

RE: Deep cycle batteries

I use it for lights and refrige while boondocking. Refrige running on gas. That's it? A used car battery would handle that.

RE: Honda EU3200 - 15k BTU AC Unit?

It should be fine, Hondas have a pretty good surge capacity unlike the cheaper gens. Are you still using the 2000? You could parallel that with the 3200 if there are any issues.

RE: Need Solar Guru Help!

lifepo4's not needing absorption---that was the lifepo4 charging philosophy a 2-3 years ago when nearly all lifepo4 converters/chargers were single-stage 14.6v (no absorption or float stage). Also interesting is the 48v Dakota charger appears to have bulk only, so perhaps it depends on the kind of Li battery. But, I'm getting off the subject.

RE: Need Solar Guru Help!

As for 2oldman's comment about lifepo4's not needing absorption---that was the lifepo4 charging philosophy a 2-3 years ago when nearly all lifepo4 converters/chargers were single-stage 14.6v (no absorption or float stage). Okay, I guess things have changed. My 5yo 48v pack only has bulk and float, but the specs for 12v Battleborns do specify an absorb voltage. I adjusted my solar controller's absorb to almost nothing.

RE: Need Solar Guru Help!

13.3 to 13.4 is 100%, so I guess 13.2 could be 70%, but that does surprise me.

RE: Need Solar Guru Help!

The 1.8 amps sounds more like the 120v side. 13.2 is more than 70% on any chart I've seen. I did not know any Li battery needed absorption.
