The days of the average or just above average income customer buying a new higher end pickup/full size SUV have been over for quite a while. Prices went up (even before COVID) way beyond the income increases. I imagine the OEM's will offer interest rate reductions as a way to move what cant move on its own. I doubt there are many buying a 100K pickup and borrowing all of it. You need to bring at least 50K into the deal to get a monthly payment that wouldn't make you vomit each month (at least for me).

Maybe in your part of TN but not ours. Local dealer just got in a F-450 Limited and has a $20K add on.F-450 Knoxville dealer showing Chevy duallies with a $5K add.3500 Lots are still pretty much empty here. Have lower level trims on vehicles, not much upper.

Guess it depends on what you order. Both very small ford dealers in the Murphy NC area have 4 Bronco sports on their lots. 2 with 1.5 Lt and 2 with 2 Lt engines.

The Bronco Sports have pretty much always been easily available. Its the Bronco that competes with the Wrangler that has a waiting list.

Idk, I’m only 50 years old, but I recall thinking alot of folks had more money when I was a kid, based on the car they drove vs the cars my parents owned. And just like back then, there’s a lot of people who drive more than they can/should afford. Covid inflation aside (which is about to be corrected in a big way fortunately or unfortunately depending how you look at it) people who complain about this have a very skewed perspective.
Comparing to vehciles 20-30-50 years ago, and trying to compare top of the line to top of the line is flawed. That top of the line, lasts 100k if you’re lucky and has 235hp truck is blown away by even the most basic work truck model currently. It’s like comparing a 3 bedroom house 50 years ago to a Mc Mansion today and complain about how much prices went up. It’s not comparable. You’re getting orders of magnitude more.
And someone of average income shouldn’t be buying a new $60-100k pickup or car. It’s not a god given right to have the finest luxuries on a beer budget. As much as some think it is.
