Has anyone had to replace the throttle body on a V10? And if so what year was your unit & the amount of miles..

130 thousand miles--no problems with throttle body. One mass flow air sensor. Unit is a 2004.

What makes you believe it needs to be replaced?

It will only idle & the code reads throttle body stuck.

Haste,
Look at things carefully, I would suspect the throttle position sensor. It is on the side of the throttle body and they have been know to fail.

I would check the senor first as Matt suggested and then spray some throttle body cleaner like CRC and see if that fixes the problem. There is also an IAC valve (air idle control valve) that sometimes sticks that can be cleaned also.

Nope !

IAC went away when electronic throttle control came in. Also eliminated the cruise control actuator. Eliminating those 2 components, plus better fuel economy and emission controls justified the cost.

It has been a LONG TIME since I looked at one, but IIRC, on electronic throttle bodies there are 2 sensors (or a dual sensor). One for the microprocessor that runs the throttle motor and one for the ECM.
