RE: 2005 E450 Ford V10 intermittent misfires

Did you check your battery voltage? Had a similar situation once where after I would stop for a short while and when restarted, it would run rough and throw codes till I got up to speed. Turned out battery was bad and till the alternator built up voltage, this would happen. New battery solved the problem.

RE: 2005 E450 Ford V10 intermittent misfires

More likely it’s the coil pak rather then the spark plugs. If you put a code reader on it it will tell you how many misfires there are on each cylinder. I’ll bet one or two of them has an exceptionally high number of misfires compared to the others. ^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^ Get a OBDII code reader, they're cheap. Over 100k miles on my 2002 and still has original plugs. However I have replaced 3 coil packs in that time. Code reader tells me which cylinders are misfiring.

RE: RV Step Motor

Colaw RV salvage is an hour or so west on I-44 from Springfield. Give them a call and see what they have.

RE: 83 and have hung up the keys

Yes, I too am an octogenarian and will be hanging it up after the 2 trips we have planned this year, the good Lord willing. We have been to all 50 states, 6 Canadian provinces and the Yukon Territory. We have seen and experienced a lot and have fond memories and thousands of pictures to sustain us the rest of our lives. Some of the folks we have met along the way have become lifelong friends. These last trips are for visiting these friends around the country one last time. There are still places we would like to visit, but we can now do that vicariously with travel documentaries. David, wishing you and yours the very best in your 'retirement'. Life goes on.

RE: re-caulking roof

As an alternative, I would consider using EternaBond instead of Dicor. It still requires thorough cleaning and removal of excess caulking, which is the worst part of the job, but once Eternabond is down, it is good for ???..I don't know since it's been 3+ years since I put it down and NO PROBLEMS! I used the 4" wide. Good luck and have fun.
