RE: Fifth wheel Jerking with gas truck... not as noticeable

EASY!!! It's your CURT hitch. Look at how low the pivot point is on the CURT. FACT it can cause a chucking feeling. Compare to the B&W that has it's pivot point at the height of the kingpin. https://i.imgur.com/sPAIusZl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5cAtNbbl.jpg I agree, the hitch is the common part that has been used with both trucks.

RE: Central Pa to Delaware shore

You can take 41 south at the Gap all the way to De then follow the signs for 95, take 95 south to Route 1 in De then stay on 1, there are tolls that way. Truck stop on 30 near Lancaster and also one on 41 below Gap, both on the right side heading south. Thank you

Central Pa to Delaware shore

We are planning a trip next month from State College Pa to Treasure beach rv park in Shelbyville DE. I am planning to go 322 to 30 end then to route 1. Is this a easy route pulling a 38 foot 5th wheel? My biggest concern is fuel stops along the way I will need to stop at least one time. Are there truck stops along this route? I have a diesel pickup and perfer to fuel at truck stops because I know it will be easy in/out. Thanks for the help.

RE: The Bacon Thread

Bacon on Blackstone followed by scrambled eggs and hash browns. That is how I do it. It is the best.

RE: New Blackstone Owner - Do I still need my grill?

Question: I'm thinking of getting the 22" Blackstone for home and RVing. We have the small Weber gas Q series. How hot does the BS get underneath? Can it be used on a truck tailgate without damage to the tailgate? Thanks in advance! We have the 22 inch blackstone with the lid and stand The blackstone has rubber feet on the bottom and are designed to be used sitting on a table. Mine does not get hot on the bottom. The griddle and the stand are great, I suggest you look at getting the stand also. We use our blackstone for everything and I sold my coleman grill.

RE: Tires for Towing 20k 5ver and Snow at altitude

Check out the Falken wildpeak A/T3W. It is a great A/T tire and is snow rated. I really like mine the work awesome in the snow and rain and are not loud on dry pavement.

RE: Compressor refrigerator opinons

We have the 12 volt compressor in our new rig, we love it it. We normally camp with hookups. It cools down a lot faster and it stays cold.

RE: Best Hitch

With mw B&W I never do a tug test. With the B&W you can clearly see if the jaws are around the pin. As thick as the jaws are if you are high hitched it would be easy to tell.

RE: Truck tires

I am happy with my Falken wildpeaks A/T3W tires they are quiet and have great traction. I had the Michelin LTX A/T2 tires on my truck and I hated them. They work great if you never get off the pavement.

RE: 5th Wheel Hitch Buyer's Guide

I have a B&W Companion slider with a short bed F-350 I have never needed the slider yet, I can turn pretty sharp before getting close to the cab. I do slide it back to hitch up, it gives me more room between the tailgate and the front of the fifth wheel.

RE: Is It Worth It?

My first five or six trucks in my lifetime were gassers. My last two were/are diesels. I'll never go back, even if I quit RVing. Mike I am the same, as long as I am dragging around a RV it will be pulled by a diesel. I just enjoy the way a diesel pulls for me it is a more relaxing towing experience. If I was to stop RVing I would go to a gasser most likely in a 1/2 ton.
