RE: What to do when you are not camping for awhile

I use mine off and on year round. All of my water sources are in the same compartment in the basement and it is heated. I close the bedroom door, open all doors under sinks & leave commode lid open and heat on 55. Close all curtains. This has worked for me in MD, WV, and here in NC. I head South as often as I can also.

RE: I-77 WV

If you would have got off at Beckley, RT 19, you would have only paid 1 toll in and one out. Glad you had a good trip

RE: thinking of buying a Motorhome....looking for tips/hints

As someone said above buy a high end unit. My 20 year old Monaco still has better construction and features than new entry level models. When I bought mine I could have gotten a DP for 1/2 what I paid for the Monaco and would have got what I paid for. It only costs a little more to go first class.

RE: Towing a toad

I have towed our 2wd Honda CRV, Toyota Camry, Smart car, and Honda Civic all on the same dolly. Anything else I have a Featherlite trailer. To me that mess I have on the Smart is just to cumbersome and takes to long + its only good for one car. But to each his own.

RE: AIRBAG LIFE

My 1998 Monaco has original air bags. Had a leak once that turned out to be the connection to hook up an air hose to air up tires etc. I have one of those in the front and in the back. Held pressure ever since.

RE: Looking for a refrigerator.

I have the same Monaco 1 year newer. I have never had much of a problem with the original frig but Mama wanted more room so I got one of those Haier units and put it beside the table. On the coil location you mention, your furnace is under the refrigerator which might affect coil location in the Monaco

RE: Are all super C's 4 wheel drive?

JAX I am at the track and this thing next to me is a "super C home" and has 8 wheels in the back. + probably over 40ft long. Don't matter but it is NOT a truck conversion as in the original discription of a class C

RE: Towing a toad

I used a dolly for years then in 2014 had our Smart car equipped with a Blue Ox towing system---the whole nine yards done at a dealer. After 2, thats right 2, trips with the tow bar set up I went back to the dolly. The Smart is still set up and the rest of it is in the garage. Was just to much of a PIA for this 82+ person to hook up and unhook. I can do the dolly in 10min. But that is my choice, may not work for others.

Wonder if there is any profit in a recycler in MD shipping old Prius batteries to Arizona? I doubt it.

RE: New To Whole RV Life, Looking For Info & Recommendations

Thats what I would do. I have a 36 ft Monaco DP and tow a 32 ft enclosed trailer behind it. You don't really need either to be that big. But I haul my Smart car and my race car in there without a problem. You can drive the Smart everywhere and leave the rest hooked up. You can't drive a golf cart or ATV to town in most places. And buy EVERYTHING used from down below the rust belt.

RE: Exploring the U.S. coast

I guess. Sure have to spend a lot of time in someone else’s yard to see both sides of our own. I been all over the world but have spent the last few years exploring our own country. I have seen so much and there is so much more to see.
