RE: Winnebago Sunova Seat Covers

When leatherette begins to flake apart, it's both ugly and frustrating. Fortunately, our seats are holding up.
Please keep us appraised about how this works out for you. Good luck!

RE: Kwikee Steps Won't Extend

At the risk of sounding argumentative, I lube my Kwikee step joints with CRC Power Lube w/PTFE. I also use this lube on my slide my slide gears.
BTW - I used a '96 Taurus driver side power window motor on my 97 Coachmen, resulting in the new motor chewing the stuck gears into pot metal rubble.
HTH,
Jack

RE: Finding RV insurance that allows short-term rental (AirBnB)

Speaking strictly for myself: I'd rather rent my toothbrush than my motorhome.

One Place control panel lcd screen black out

the control panel on my rig blacked out this week as we were leaving for JAX. I suspect, but am not sure, that a low battery voltage dung generator start caused the printed circuit board to shut itself off.
ONline seaches revealed that the OEM maker was Precision Circuits from Illinois, and their website indicated the lcd model was discontinued. Their customer service rep (630) 515-9100 patiently explained that they did indeed have the boards in stock, and suggested that a reset might be accomplished by taking the board out of the wall and disconnecting the power molex (center of three molex connectors) and see if the system resets. For the 00-10032-100 coded panel, there are no button-push reset options. The method worked, and Precision Circuits saved me $251 plus sh. BTW- Camping World gave me a quote for $444.50 +sh+tax.
Be safe, Jack

RE: Typical price for Class A tire mounting and balance

I cannot say what's going on in this crazy economy, but two years ago I bought six new M154 Toyos for $2400 out the door, tax mounting, balanced, and ready for tire shine. HTH...

RE: 83 and have hung up the keys

At 70, I can't imagine what will become inevitable for me, too. It sounds like losing a pet.
Good luck in RV retirement.

RE: Winnebago quality

This is my second rig, and DW and I are really happy with the configuration and feel of it. The paint has been warranted by LCI in Forest City, and they corrected issues by taking the rig back under warranty and fixing the Diamond Shield and faded radius paint. At 8 years old, folks in camp grounds often offer to buy it. It does have a unique paint schema (gray, silver and orange) called "Hot Iron". Like all rigs, we've put a lot of time and cash into getting it to our liking, but it has been money well spent.
