RE: Inverter and battery sizing to power my camper microwave

You should be fine. . .power wise.. but be certain that you have the proper alternators simply because the truck batteries will be lead acid, and the camper will be Latium. they charge at different voltage. SO.. you will need a added charger for the Lithium side of the system.

RE: Generator question

in either case.. you will be carrying a generator, might as well carry one that will do the job, we carry a ONAN 7.5k with a 50 amp chord that can be plugged into the 5th wheel of any place you need. want 50 amp power from a post, simply plug the 5th wheel into the post. no post? use the gen/set into the 5th wheel. remember,,,, to vent the Generator properly.

RE: Texas Hill Country

Recommendations for your favorite campgrounds in this area? We generally prefer State Parks, county parks, COE campgrounds. We like some hiking, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, looking at water, a bit of kayaking and maybe bicycling. Historic sites nearby are a plus. Traveling in April. Thanks, Speak call Paul. @ 210 725 5201 see he has space. it is a private campground about 3 minutes from the village/ or the lake.

RE: generator fuel line

Be certain that there is more than 1/4 of a tank of fuel in the fuel tank. there is a stand pipe in the tank so you don't ru the engine out of fuel.. running the engine out of fuel causes big problems.

RE: Taking dog to alaska from NY...food questions

Planning Alaska trip with dog...have heard beef is a no and chicken is a no...was thinking that dehydrated honest kitchen would be a good choice. Any ideas on dog food...about a good week to get to border in Montana so no problem there. Then Canada for as long as a month but probably not. Then AK....lots of borders. What have people done with pup food? processed food,, can be carried into Canada. many fresh vegetables are forbidden also. (potatoes specially) Canadian government has a web page listing these items.
