RE: Some worry about payload……

I see dudes like this frequently on the 580 in Nevada. Usually carrying many super heavy rolls of carpeting, paver bricks, firewood, etc. and I keep my distance. Never seen one stopped by HP. They only do 5 over. Yep.

RE: Electric and ICE forever together?

Several new emerging technologies may limit the demand for EVs in near or distant future or replace them.
It would take many years to build out an expensive National Electric Gid to accommodate a massive surge in operating EVs on the road.
Present national grid is very fragile.
Present and future National Grid still dependent on Fossil fuel to generate electricity. Solar and Wind contribute only small amounts.
Present EVs not as useful or versatile as similar ICE vehicles.
Glad I don't have one in this severe winter on the west coast.
Most EV owners still have ICE vehicle for backup. HE HE!!!!
Many EV owners have or will return to ICE vehicles for some of the above reasons.
With only EV 3 to 5% of the 300,000,000 vehicles on the road. Not likely.
I can go on and on. Yes, I read a lot of auto and tech news.
No way EVs going to replace ICE by 2035 that is media and political smack by politicians.
The future may be a very very fragmented auto/truck powered market.

RE: Ram Reduces Max Tow Ratings

Many folks tow over their max authorized gross weight tow and payload ratings so is possible Ram is protecting themselves by reducing the max tow figures as a safety fudge measure and protection from lawsuits. Maybe should do this for other trucks. Just saying.
Ram is good, hemi is good, all is good. Great combination.

RE: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucks

....
Bottom line we need to get off fossil fuels as fast as we can.
Why?
you be the winner. climate change cycles have been reoccurring for millions of years. I am in no hurry. Very satisfied and not worrying as I enjoy my gasser truck. Cheers to 300 million other gassers.

RE: Interesting video on the Cybertruck design & designer

The truck is ugly, I don’t care it it has a 600mile range and 400 towing, I wouldn’t want it.
If I was forced to, it would be either a Rivian or Lightning!
No thanks!
I agree, it is gadawful ugly and over. You will see few if any on the road. But a good conversation subject for the bored.

RE: Securing generator while running

Good question. There has over time been many discussions on this topic and maybe a forum search will yield the answer. Also certain to be youtube videos on how others secure their gen sets. I use a wound steel locking cable and secure it to the bumper or hitch carry all receiver or to a very heavy duty picknick campsite table. Run the cable thru the plastic carry handle (that can be easily broken) is my only method so far.

RE: Goodnight Irene, the party's over.

Simple answer for empty heads is rampant inflation for past year. Worse than the 70s by far. Inflated salaries cannot keep up with rampant price increases on most everything. Financial news says value of 401Ks has shrunk due to this. Thank you, JB Scotch, for this.

Fishing, fishing, fishing on Sacramento River delta and SF bay area. After many years RV travel including some fulltime, I now enjoy carefree basic comforts of home when not on fishing trips to California. Cheers to common sense.

You have many operating systems to go wrong. In many campgrounds and RV parks I have seen Class As stranded for days with mobile mechanics troubleshooting while I go fishing, hiking, sightseeing, etc. Good luck to your future.
