RE: First time I've seen Jackery offered at Costco

You can get more AHs for the same money with a Lithium battery…solar panels too.

RE: 2023 Ford 40k towing, 500hp, 1200tq

That’s big power!

RE: Ram 1500 owners…Hemi & 3.92s?

I wouldn’t automatically rule out a 3/4 ton either.

RE: New to traveling

Welcome! Thirty to forty thousand isn’t enough for dependable truck and trailer IMO. I drive a half ton truck with a 5500 pound wet and loaded trailer and two people. With five I’d think 3/4 ton truck to stay within the truck’s payload.

RE: Propane smell inside trailer...how to best diagnose?

“Didn't realize propane was that flammable.” On the “that” scale, propane is “that” flammable.

RE: Honda 2000 quiet box, I'm back!!

Adequate ventilation is the key IMO.

RE: Likely to regret

At 19,800 pounds for the TV alone, some campground bridges will be...challenged IMO even if you can negotiate the loop.

RE: System check up panel. What do these mean?

“we travel normally with 1/4 of fresh water.” We travel always when possible with full fresh water tank and empty holding tanks so that we never have to pass up a beautiful campsite or leave a beautiful campsite before we want to do so.

RE: Dry cell Batteries while in storage

Gels are rare IMO, Don. Haven’t seen one in the field in at least two years.

RE: Will I regret this truck?

Pbutler, OP was concerned with room in the bed to carry a generator. “I do want to carry a generator in the bed of the truck or…” Lots of solar either eliminates the need for a generator or makes a smaller generator workable.

RE: Dry cell Batteries while in storage

Dry cell batteries? If you mean AGMs, they are not dry but sealed. Same precautions as “wet” unsealed batteries.

RE: GMC Sierra EV

An improvement at a max of 400 miles!

RE: New here & source for motor parts

I agree with towing to your home for repair. Better working conditions, all your tools, electricity etc.

RE: Will I regret this truck?

I don’t think you’ll regret not getting a dually with that size 5er but consider lots of solar and a small backup generator.
