RE: Where to see US solar eclipses '23/'24
I was in the totality path for the 2017 solar eclipse. It was absolutely awesome! Everyone at the RV park applauded when it happened!
So I am hoping to RV to someplace to see both of these upcoming eclipses.

RE: Hwy 89A in Northern Arizona
To sum up...from Fredonia to Page...89 is shorter, straighter, with much less elevation change. 89A is longer, big elevation change, with doable curves especially on the down side.
If you just want to get to Page, take 89, which is scenic in itself.
As noted above, 89A is driven to get to the GCNP North Rim and/or Marble Canyon. But if you want a longer drive, with a little more varied scenery and turning your steering wheel left and right more, and want to go way up and way down in elevation, take 89A.

I have a friend who answered an RV ad last year that turned out to be the same scenario. Had a few communications back and forth. When she wrote to them "I have a friend who lives near you and could inspect the motorhome for me"...they never responded.

We love both our cars, though we have not set up our 2013 Honda CRV for towing. I assume you know that from 2015 on, the CRV is not flat-towable. We mostly drive our CRV while home and on long car trips because it gets better gas mileage than our other car.
We do tow our 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Suzuki no longer sells cars in the U.S., but maybe you can find a good used one, if interested. The only issue I don't like is that you are not supposed to tow faster than 55mph (though I often do).
Before you buy any car, make sure the "recreational towing" section in the car's owner's manual states that it is flat-towable (with directions to do so). Don't just go by some list of flat-towable vehicles.

Cedar Breaks Nat'l Monument is in the Dixie Nat'l Forest area. It's like a mini Bryce.
agesilaus described Hwy 89A, which goes from Kanab to Jacob Lake then to Bitter Springs. The more direct route from Kanab to Page/Lake Powell is Hwy 89. And along there is the Toadstools hike (short hike to some cool rock formations) and an interesting dinosaur exhibit at the BLM Big Water Visitors Center.
Top things to do in Page/Lake Powell...Antelope Slot Canyon, smooth water float trip below dam on the Colorado river, walk out to Horseshoe Bend overlook.
If you stay in Flagstaff/Williams, you might want to take a day to drive down through Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona. I think the best way to experience the Grand Canyon is to stay the night in a South Rim campground. More chance to see elk and deer roaming, and sunrise/sunset create beautiful lighting on the canyon walls.
I agree, there is alot to see and do in these parts. You'll have to pick and choose a selection of them to fit into two weeks.

Your subject line "in Utah". So if you really mean in AZ, there are a few sections of 89A.
Fredonia to Jacob Lake to Marble Canyon to Bitter Springs...this is doable, just some long uphill and downhill, going to high elevation of Jacob Lake, several easy-ish curves, probably want to use lower gear sometimes.
Through Oak Creek Canyon from Flagstaff to Sedona, we don't do it. Includes about 2 miles of fairly tight switchbacks and sometimes narrow road with rock walls right beside road. I actually once saw an RV in this section with it's people holding their ripped off awning. Definitely drive through beautiful Oak Creek Canyon in your car if you are planning time in Sedona/Flagstaff.
Sedona to Cottonwood, no problem.
Jerome to Prescott Valley over Mingus Mountain is a very winding road (on the Jerome side) that I wouldn't do either. Long downhill (or uphill) on the Prescott side with easier curves.

I agree about not driving the motorhome on Avenue of the Giants. I did it last year and a couple places were sketchy (very narrow). On the other hand, Newton Drury Scenic Parkway is a very pleasant redwood drive in the motorhome, which I highly recommend.
I love the Oregon Coast! Get the Mile-by-Mile Guide (online or in the mail). Lots of State Parks, commercial RV Parks, and a few Elks Lodge parks if you happen to be an Elks member. Some of my favorite sightseeing places are Hug Point, Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, Cape Perpetua, Jerry's Jet Boats on the Rogue River at Gold Beach....just to get you started.

RE: Steps acting up again
I had a similar problem. Never knew if the steps would come out when I opened the door. Sometimes I'd be outside nearby and suddenly they came out on their own without even opening the door. One time they went in while I was on them!!
The problem was solved when an RV tech changed the door magnet and connecting wires.

Thank you for your replies. Ken's post is over my head, but I get that y'all are saying it's probably the solenoid letting a bit of hydraulic fluid leak in or out. A few years ago, I had a solenoid changed because one jack was inching up over short amount of days after being extended to the ground. Sounds like a similar problem from your input.

Slide-out issue
Our motorhome has been parked on gravel beside our house for the last few months...hydraulic slides and jacks in and up. About a month ago, I happen to notice the large slide had moved out an inch or so, especially across the bottom. The other day, I noticed the small slide had done the same thing, maybe a couple inches. Of course, in both cases I went inside and pushed the button to bring the slides in all the way.
Anyone know why this would happen? I don't see any fluid leak under the motorhome, nor around or under the solenoids or fluid reservoir. None of the jacks have come down at all. The hydraulic fluid in the reservoir is just a little low...down to the bottom of the dip stick, not up between the lines. But I can see the fluid's reflection looking down on it. Seems like there is still plenty in the box shaped reservoir.
Thanks for any ideas.

I do the same as Jerry. I leave toiletries and some canned and dry food in there all the time. I don't imagine extreme heat is good for the materials like plastic that RVs are made with. I've had some little rubber dots on the cabinet doors to melt.
Also make sure a little water stays in your toilet bowl at all times to keep the seal moist. I've had to add some water every now and then due to evaporation.

DC...You must have come during spring break. Here spring break lasts SEVERAL weeks, like from mid-March to mid-April. The traffic IS insane. I can only go to the grocery store at 8am or 8pm, else I'd have an hour or more trip just to go 5 miles. The traffic is nowhere near as bad now...except on the weekends! And holidays! Can't wait for this coming Memorial Day weekend. Better get my groceries before Friday :)
Definitely agree about the restaurant prices. It's not just HP, but nearly all the restaurants. We rarely go out to eat here.
