RE: Are the new WFCO's as bad as the old ones?

According to the WFCO website, your "8955Lis200724" is lithium compatible. Is it? It doesn;t have the 'lithium switch' so I didn't think so. I looked at the website and couldn't find anything so I sent there tech support an email. Thanks Boon Docker. You're welcome. Let us know what the tech has to say.

RE: Are the new WFCO's as bad as the old ones?

If your charging amps are above 40 amps I'd say that's ok. Most lithium batteries have BMS's that are 50 amp or 100 amp charge/discharge capable. 55 watts is the max system output including lights, accessories etc. Whatever is left is for charging. If you're not having issues I wouldn't change it yet. You want charge voltage around 14.4 for lithium. If it's 13.6 or so that is for flooded lead acid. Lithium batteries don't have float mode. There are several good youtube videos show lithium charge and discharge curves. Do you have the Zamp 30 amp solar controller above the bed like mine? Make sure it is set to lithium also. The previous owner told me he changed the charger for one that's compatible with Lithiums and when I slid the charger out I saw "8955Lis200724" on the label and assumed the 'Lis' part of it meant it was the Lithium charger but after doing some more clicking I now don't think it is. It doesn't look like the one on the WFCO site that sposed to be the Lithium conversion: lithium replacement I want to get the most bang for my buck when I need to fire up the Honda 2000 to charge the batteries so I'll be looking for something that puts out 75 or 80 amps or something. According to the WFCO website, your "8955Lis200724" is lithium compatible.

RE: RV Queen to Regular Queen Mod Challenge: Floor Heater Vent

I would extent the platform sheet and support with braces or legs rather than extending the full box. Picture would help. That would be the plan, just extend the platform, and not the box underneath. I'll get over and take some pics during the week, hopefully. My concern is what affect an extended platform would have on the heater vent, as I think it the heated air would just blow straight up into the bottom of the platform, and if there is bedding hanging over the lower end of the platform, the heated air would be trapped in there. I wonder how many people they have scammed in the 6 weeks that their website has been active.

RE: Flying J / Pilot to install megachargers for med/heavy trks

No credit for using math until you show your work. What you've written is based on assumptions and presumptions and has nothing to do w math. Compare the scale of EV's produced vs the amount of gasoline consumed and get back to us on total amount of cobalt used. And just one other thing to consider is the potential to recycle the EV batts and the cobalt they contain. And while we're using batts to carry electrical energy at the moment once roads are electrified there won't be near the need for big batteries as this process continues. ROFL, I'm not sue of which of your statements to laugh harder at... But allow me to help you out... I gave the numbers (idk if they're right, jsut like the rest of yall don't know what youre claiming based on your super sleuth searches on the web). We aren't getting into a "cite your sources" discussion I hope. But whatever. If you can't do the math with the numeros I actually did include, then you're, umm, cant say that word, umm, cant talk about IQ....we will just say you're either simple or obtuse... Regarding more gas cars than EVs on the road affecting the total numbers....I'll just leave that one alone, because I now know you're either clueless or have an agenda. But I will say apples to apples....think about it. And you let us know how the ole induction charging technology and infrastructure is coming along....LOL! Some clowns do try to be funny. :S

RE: Bearings packed

I must be a one man pit crew then. It takes me just a little over an hour to do my two axle trailer. "a little over an hour" is billed as TWO hours... But in his lightning fast nascar diy 16minute wheel bearing service he’s saving the other 56 precious minutes of that second hour. The more I think about this, the more laughable it becomes…. So Grit dog, what is so funny. I'm curious.

RE: Bearings packed

Wow, that's what I call price gouging. Considering it takes about one hour to do 4 wheels. I disagree. If those are posted prices, you have the ability to decide if you want to pay for someone to do it, or invest $10 and do it yourself. The OP, or whomever else, can decide if its worth $230 to pay someone else or get their own hands dirty. Its price gouging to sell water for $50/case after a hurricane. It wasn't $230, he was quouted $400. That's $100 per wheel.:E

RE: Bearings packed

I absolutely agree with not trusting bearing buddies. Long story short, watch a few you tube videos. Its fine for a mid season grease up......Anyway, although I have done for myself I am getting a little old and have a huge to do list that keeps growing.... The only price I got so far was over $400. That seemed a little high. Wow, that's what I call price gouging. Considering it takes about one hour to do 4 wheels.

RE: Pet Peeves in RV Parks

Nothing wrong with a bark or two at times. It is the constant bark that is dam annoying.

RE: Pet Peeves in RV Parks

"......most likely like some on here you will be annoyed , yes get over it." Unfortunately, that is the attitude of many people with noisy dogs.

RE: Pet Peeves in RV Parks

PEOPLE not keeping their dogs from barking!!! My dogs only bark when someone comes around my campsite - if they stay away then they don't bark... How do you stop a dog from barking? I yell at them but then you get to hear the dog bark and a person yelling... Train them from a young age that there is no need to bark about nothing.
