RE: motorhome pricing

Thanks to all that replied. I decided not to buy this motorhome based on price. He actually had it listed for 45,0000. Wouldn't budge off of 28,0000 Good decision.

RE: motorhome pricing

When a motorhome or other RV gets to be a certain age, condition of the house portion and associated systems IMO become more important than mileage or mechanical condition in terms of value. The low mileage may mean excellent mechanical condition, but many systems on an RV suffer from age rather than use. I think that a professional inspection is your best tool in determining value. Think of an RV more like a house than a car. This is good advice. To make an old RV completely road worthy could cost 10 to 20 thousand in the first few years. Depending on your perpensity for reliability and perfection. Good luck.

The 12 volt connectors are somewhat exposed to the elements. I find this product works well to clean and restore contact. Clicky

RE: Fifth wheel caulking issue with it staying tacky

What ever you decide to use, may I suggest you try out an application experiment first. Apply some sealant / calking to some scrap material and come back a couple days later to see how it turned out. Several years ago, I used a brand new tube of caulking on a shed and it never did cure, I had to remove it (Big Mess) and start over. I was rather agitated to say the least, so I called the manufacturer and gave them the lot number and expiration date on the tube. The customer service rep told me that with all the new environmental rules and regulations, the chemical formulations have changed significantly over the years. He told me, even if it is a brand new tube within the expiration date, "you should always test it out before applying it to your project" And, if the tube has been opened before, partially used and saved for future use, it is even more likely for this to happen. In the old days it was not uncommon for calking to dry up and harden in the tube. Now when it goes bad, it does not dry / cure correctly. I have had this happen three times in the past fifteen years or so. Good luck

RE: Are the new WFCO's as bad as the old ones?

IMHO, WFCO "Made in China", Progressive Dynamics "Proudly manufactured in the U.S.A" I have removed several brand new WFCO converters and replaced them with a PD. Problem solved.
