Posted By: 2oldman on 06/19/21 08:09am

In the last week my Verizon/gmail is unable to send emails to a phone number at vtext.com

Anyone else seeing this?

Ok, do me a solid. If you have a Verizon cell phone, use your computer -based email to send a brief message to [email protected]

thanks

Tried sending it 5 minutes ago. Haven't received anything yet on the phone.

I sent a message to my Verizon phone and it worked fine!

Thanks. Looks like it works for some. Weird. What email are you guys using? Mine is Gmail. I'm not sure if it's that or Verizon

I tried from gmail using my tablet, and received a text on my phone from Google voice with the text from the gmail I sent to my phone number

So it's working for me, I haven't used Vtext email option in about 9 years, maybe more, maybe 11 years, I forgot it was even available

I can explain it to you.
But I Can Not understand it for you !

and you may get an error message later.

I used outlook and the message went through fine. Looks like it's Gmail. I've sent a screen shot of the error messages to their Feedback. Hope somebody reads it.

Well, how cool is that? It just worked for me using AOL mail (don't laugh!)

This could come in handy... [emoticon]

I use it for sending a grocery list to my phone, and conversing with the SO to her phone from my computer.

Now I'm wondering if people can do this to other providers like ATT/Sprint etc from gmail.

It's funny.. I can send these message to my phone, and when they don't work, get a ton of error messages back, day after day, but nobody notices.

I can go to Amazon and browse for a generator, and soon my FB page will be deluged with ads from generator sellers.

Sent a message to my Verizon/Visible number from my computer using Gmail. Message came through fine on my Android phone via text message.

I did a email text to [email protected]
And it worked
I sent a test gmail email to a friend's AT&T cellphone number
(Using the info posted above)
And they received it

Thank you .. Just sent myself a [email protected] (MMS)
message.. Worked. fine

There is a reason I am not a Verizon customer.. I won't bore you with the full story but ... Cuss-some-more-Service was invented by one of the companies that merged into Verizon.

The messages are starting to work, but they're being delayed anywhere from 20 minutes to many hours. Verizon is not responding.

Getting any help at all from Google is so far, impossible.

Their customer no-service is pretty much that.

What I find perplexing is, does no one else but me, the end user, see this pile of errors? I mean, they have to be created somewhere, and nobody sees them? And help links that don't work..!

I just came across the same problem. Any fast solutions?

This is why I switched to Boost Mobile. It runs on AT&T & T-Mobile and everything works great. Moreover, I can always call the boost mobile phone number (I found it on this website https://boost-mobile.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html) and solve any issue within a few minutes. No regrets.

I wonder, for those of you that have problems with this form of communication, send from email to phone text,
Are you in your carriers designated coverage area ?
Or
Are you roaming,. Such as getting Verizon on Sprint tower or att on TMobile tower
Knowing this might help clarify the issue
Your phone should have and indicator, either on home screen or in settings
Also roaming can be turned of in settings/networks,
If in doubt, as a test temporarily turn off roaming , if you loose cell service, you are roaming on sn affiliate tower, not using your carrier owned tower,
