Lance distributor here( did not appear for the major Camping Show, although based 15 miles from the show) has this displayed at the show I went too 2yrs ago

Looks nice and practical.

Transit Cargo Van has a GVWR range from 8,600 lbs.* (single rear wheel) to 10,360 lbs. (dual rear wheel). Payloads go from 3,020 lbs.* (single rear wheel) on up to 4,650 lbs.* (dual rear wheel) Just wait for weight police.

I like the Class C above! Would be perfect for a couple. I say that because our 2 kids are fully grown, out of the house and our focus would be for a motorized RV with enough living space in a Class C. My wife doesn't like Class A's, with respect to driving them and driving makes me very tired, so we need an RV we both feel comfortable driving! Bags.

this...just does not look right. The Transit is a capable truck and I see many of them every day. They are a decent base for our European class C variety. But an American TC belongs on a classic pickup truck. Since the Bed is completely above the rear wheels, these things tend to be very tall. Other than that I am sure it works well. And the Outfitter I owned went on to be carried on a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4. But still... something just doesn't look right to my eyes. 2014 Ford F350 XLT 6.2 SCLB + 2017 Northstar Arrow

It has a greater GAWR the IVECO Daily 70C, than than the E450 which is the IVECO equivalent .Whole IVECO “Vans” lineup is fascinating This is the 35C a less rugged version towing in Europe ![]()

The Cab Chassis Van has many uses. One variant has a Unimog like Off Road ability and can carry 5000lbs and tow 7,700lbs Here is a Hotshot version, 3000km range and has a 6,600lb payload ![]() As a 4x4 Off Road vehicle 5000lb payload , 7,700lb towing ![]() If you want to move a boat

Van conservions are expensive and really cramped. These are much better rigs for longer trips.

I use it more than I did my truck camper and the class C as driving it is so easy. Less weight and all the luxuries of home. So far I have about half invested in the van with the conversion and the price of a new van then if I would have gone with another truck camper. Still have the Class C for trips closer to home and when I am staying in one place for a long time. |

My wife has a new Transit 3/4 ton and it's very nice. She has a gas motor though.

Lots of the transit van cabs with service bodies sitting on the local commercial truck lot as I type. They look like good candidates for a TC rig build. Not for me as I don't believe any of them are 4X4.
