It's finally time to replace my GY Wrangler's with Kevlar that have almost 40K on them, all of them with the TC on them with a full 14K load. I think they have been an outstanding highway tire, I've hit many a serious pothole crossing the US and never had any tire issues. I am not looking for an even more aggressive off-road tread pattern. Along those lines I have narrowed it down to TWO tires: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Duratrac and the Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 Yokohama Geolander There is a lot of data on the Duratrac's as they have been around for awhile and they do have the snowflake symbol for added snow traction ability. The Geolandar's on the other hand only came out last year so there is no long term data as of yet. It's a long shot, but anyone have the Geolandar MT G003's on their rig? * This post was edited 04/17/18 11:27am by egarant * 2021 FORD F350 dually 4x4 with 4.30 gears 2013 Eagle Cap 950 480 Watts Solar, 3K VictronConnect Multiplus II, VictronConnect smart DC-DC charger, VictronConnect 100/30 solar controller, 250 amps of lithium batteries by LifeBlue |

Those are sweet looking tires! They and the Duratracs are significantly more aggressive tread than your previous tires though. They'll both make some noise on the road. Duratracs, probably not as much as the MTs. 2016 Ram 2500, MotorOps.ca EFIlive tuned, 5” turbo back, 6" lift on 37s 2017 Heartland Torque T29 - Sold. Couple of Arctic Fox TCs - Sold |

For those MTs you bought to get good snow and ice traction, I'd reccomend siping them. At least the inside rows of treads. I don't do the outside blocks on heavy haulers, helps on tread life and they still get a lot better snow traction.

I have the Yokohama Geolander AT's in 265/75 R16 E10. Have had them for 18000 km's (11185 miles) mostly with the camper on. They are still like new. Have been very good on snow and ice. Much better than my previous Michelin's.

I.m curious why you need to replace them. Too old? Worn out? Same year truck, 14k Ford and while only 34k miles the tires, GY, still look pretty good.

The Geolander's on the other hand only came out last year so there is no long term data as of yet. It's a long shot, but anyone have the Geolander MT G003's on their rig? The Duratracs are noisier, provide a much sloppier ride (due to huge unsupported tread blocks), and wear faster (again, probably largely due to tread squirm) than the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar tires. The Duratracs have slightly better traction in slush or mud (they can clear the tread better), but are worse in snow and rain. If I could only choose one of the two, I'd go with the All-Terrain Adventure tires unless I was to be regularly driving in the aforementioned slushy or muddy conditions. As it is, I have two sets of rims and swap the two types of tires out depending on where I'm going to be going. BTW, I don't know what size tires you are running, but some sizes of the All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar - like their predecessor, the Goodyear ProGrade SilentArmor - do have the mountain/snowflake symbol. Unfortunately GY doesn't bother to provide good information on this on their website and you have to call to find out if your size is rated as such. |

I have a PDF on the Goodyear® Wrangler® All-Terrain Adventure. It says the "PRO-GRADE PACKAGE ON LT SIZES featuring two layers of Kevlar®, belts with 30% more steel and marked with the Severe Snow Conditions symbol" The PDF also includes "WRANGLER ALL-TERRAIN ADVENTURE PRO-GRADE AVAILABLE SIZES". I have the LT235/80R17, Load Range E (load range as single 3085, as dual 2895) , on my '04 Dodge 3500, DRW 4x4 long bed. Total cost with Lifetime (3 yrs max) Road Hazard free replacement, out the door in 3/10/16 was $1576. Wayne |

Hi Reddog1, Looks like we have the same tire size. I replaced the tires you now have, I got 35K out of them and probably should have replaced them earlier. I did notice a crack starting to form in the cap of the tire. Yes, those Kevelar tires do have the winter snowflake on them which is great. I tend change up tires when I need a new set, I like to see what is new and hopefully advanced. I did not go with the Duratrac's as they no longer offer a three ply sideway in the load range E tires, which I confirmed today at America's Tire, I went with the Yokahama Geolandar M/T G003 as they had a three ply sidewall. The Yokahama's are supposed to be 2.5db's quieter than the "leading" brand M/T tire, but that isn't saying much. I heard my tires for the first time when I drove home today! I drive a diesel so I obviously don't care about outside noise... Here are some pics of the tires on the rig. ![]()

I didn't have anything against them, in fact they lasted longer then I anticipated and did really well on a drive across country and back hitting every pothole along the way! I just like to change it up and try new tires if they apply to my every changing applications. |

I do like the looks of the Yokahama's. I to have a diesel. Had a 12 valve for 17 years, much louder than the '04 I now have. Neither have I had issues with tire noise. As you are aware, but others may not be, the Goodyear® Wrangler® All-Terrain Adventure tread is not as aggressive as the Yokahama Geolander M/T G003.
