Topic: Brake fuse box hidden

Posted By: tcbkenpo on 02/11/18 08:28am

Hello,
I have a 2009 Sport Coach elite with a freight liner chassis, my running lights and brake light stopped working. On my dash it is saying check brake fuse. I can not find where brake fuse is located. Once RV is running I have no dash warning until I put on the brakes. If anyone has the same RV or knows where I may find the brake fuse I would really appreciated it.
Thanks Dave

Chances are the front run bay driver left side compartment outside...you can also call the 800 number for freightliner support and they can tell you to..Should be a labeled box in there.

I have a newer Freightliner, but the fuses for my brake lights, turn signals, etc, are located in the right rear where the two start batteries are located. There is a black box, about 6" x 4" with relays and fuses. I took photos of all my fuses throughout the coach and keep the in a folder. I can look in the folder for the fuse I want and then go to that bay.

My 2007 on a 2006 Freightliner chassis has some chassis fuses in the aft left compartment. It's the same cover that has the side radiator. Held in place with some screws, it hinges up and you will need a pole to support the cover. It will reveal some chassis electronics. Mine has the engine and trans ECUs plus some chassis lighting fuses.
