Ford says 7000lbs on the rear springs from what I can find. I don't know if that's just because the tires are 7000lbs (standard tire) like the Diff or if they are actually 7000lbs springs. The 43-1681HD from SD Truck Springs is 4400lbs per spring and $190. It's supposed to be a direct replacement so I'm thinking a good idea. All in all, I'd say I'm happy that the truck is built like it is ![]() 2019 F350 Lariat FX4 DRW PS6.7 2019 AF990 |

That spot on the tire is blank. There is an 002214 on the tire but who knows if that's 22nd week of 14 or some other number? Doesn't much matter as the tires are under the load I need and cracking.

I had no idea and after a bunch of reading (and help elsewhere) I learned that when in Tow/Haul mode you just tap the brake when descending a hill or slowing down and it will engage the exhaust brake by closing off the variable vanes of the turbos! Here I thought I needed to spend another $650 to get one ![]() Glad I could help. This is one of the best places to learn about trucks and campers. Great point someone made in a diesel forum! If you add a Dually Box, Axle, Wheels, Springs etc to your SRW it will virtually become a DRW truck with the associated payload.... But the sticker will still say the payload of the SRW...... |

Facebook not so much. 6.4 doesn't have an exhaust brake in OE configuration. You need a programmer to activate the turbo vanes for braking. If they did, there wouldn't be programmers to activate it. 2016 Ram 2500, MotorOps.ca EFIlive tuned, 5” turbo back, 6" lift on 37s 2017 Heartland Torque T29 - Sold. Couple of Arctic Fox TCs - Sold |

GeoBoy -- LOL Grit_Dog -- yes, apparently they do 08 and on Troutguy -- I'll have to check them all. By the way, I used to LOVE trout fishing! By the time I was 10 i would go out alone in the woods and wander around looking for good trouble streams...today, when I go, which isn't often, I usually get the most enjoyment out of a small remote lake, a canoe and either alone or with someone else equally 'hooked' on trout ![]() |

The tuners change the behavior of the VGT but exhaust braking through the turbo does happen. Ford chose to hide what was happening and when in their setup, so there is confusion. VGT exhaust braking started in the previous generation and is only active in tow/haul mode with no way manually just turn EB on or off. Having a tuner allows more control of the VGT regardless if the transmission is in tow/haul or not.
