Topic: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

Posted By: Turtle n Peeps on 09/06/22 06:39pm

More and more people are doing the math and showing the figures. Refreshing, because I showed the math about the Semi and why it would never work for an OTR semi.

This guy shows the math of an electric SUV. Listen to the figures he shows and what it takes to make even an electric SUV let alone a Semi.

Saw your intentions years ago.

But this is how it works:

1. First you trigger the discussions by making a political post.

2. Then when someone responded, even if the response avoids politics, you report it to the moderator.

3. And when you are caught with your pants down with your dismissing the Cybertruck as just "brake and shear" car that you can do yourself in your workshop, you also report it to the moderator as personal attack and hurting your tender feelings.

LOL....... if I was placing a bet I would lay money down that Gritdog has never made a report to a moderator......ever. He does not come across as one of those "I'ma gonna tell" types.

Interesting article today regarding the new 4680 battery. Unfortunately, I cannot republish the information or data contained within the article.

I guess that is why I subscribe to Automotive News to get real detail on how Tes is not capable of manufacturing these batteries in production volume, even though Musk told shareholders they would be producing high volumes of 4680 batteries by the end of 2022.

I guess the description of high can be ambiguous. If you start with zero, then I guess you could argue that 100 is high.

Hopefully we get some more pictures of the building that is supposed to build the battery.

Thousands without power as Bay Area bakes in heat wave.

I can't wait to get these Semi's rolling down the road and start charging 24/7 to get us our food and stuff we need for everyday living.

So glad we will finally have the Semi rolling before the end of the year!! [emoticon]

And for the record, I'm not even anti EV. I just wish it made financial or even practical sense to own one (in our use/situation).
I think it's great that Tesla has made a car that absolutely blows the doors off of just about anything short of a Pro Stock dragster or Indy car, that is also the ultimate sleeper.
EVs in general are also a great technology advancement.

Arguing about it with a few chuckleheads on the internet is just entertainment and a quick break from actual responsibilities.

Yes record heat and electric demand with ZERO rolling blackouts ordered by the CAISO.
Of course equipment failures and maintenance happens every single day. (24/7/365)

Looks like CA will be ready for both SEMI and transition to 100% EV auto sales on schedule.
Breathing cleaner air will be a wonderful transition.

But in some people's world, a single incident of a blackout (my sister lives in the Bay Area and she told me, what black out) is some scary **** "rolling blackout" that would make EV unfeasible.

California averts widespread rolling bla........ts as energy demands ease amid heat wave

Once she has an EV all the anxiety will fall away.
Or may just need to find a way to cope with unreasonable feelings.

The cleaner air may help clear her mind.

Today is a good time to prepare for any emergency. Have a plan.

I guess the author has never heard of solar panels.
