Most people could not afford a top optioned Shelby, Corvette or 'Cuda back in the 1960s muscle car era either. And of course there are plenty of vehicles today that cost more than Model S Plaid. 2001 F150 SuperCrew 2006 Keystone Springdale 249FWBHLS 675w Solar pictures back up |

Simple, if you can't afford it, it might not be for you. I want a Mercedes G 63 converted to dually. I can afford it, but my family will have to live on it for 5 years while I'm amortizing it. ![]() So I tell myself, ah, that's not for me while I'm drooling at it in the dealership. |

And of course there are plenty of vehicles today that cost more than Model S Plaid. In fact many of those cars are worth more than the Tesla S today! They weren't family cars either. The Tesla is a well engineered car no doubt but certainly a little pricey after > 10 years of sales. Part of their successful business model! Ya can always justify the purchase: figure price per pound! Only $28.94 per pound! * This post was edited 07/18/22 06:03pm by vern kelly * 1998 2500 Dodge V10 3.55 Quad cab. Even a huge fifth wheel, me thinks. ![]() But the looks, the looks... Yeah, it's pretty ugly, but looks are very important to some people, and can be very deceiving. The Dodge MegaCab looks rough, tough, and macho, but can't pull squat when it comes to fifth wheels. Look at all the Harley riders, who think they have a big bad machine when it's weak, underpowered, and handles like a tractor. But, oh that perception. Howard and Peggy "Don't Panic" |

Too much truck. Unimog or civilian Stryker will be the biggest I would go. ![]() ![]() |
