So this thread was about a semi? And I think several of you missed some details of what is going on at gm last week! Better go read your InsideEV and others again. And how about Rivian and Lordstown?

Which truck is going to be out first? Second? Third?

My guess.

1 Rivian first by 4 to 6 months
2 Cybertruck
3. Lordstown.

I would think GM and Ford are not that far away either. Early to mid 2022?

Any inside scoop you are allowed to share on the GM E truck?

Cheers.

Impressive!

Between us girls, my son when he was with Tesla told me that in the initial production runs of new units, they assemble the cars manually in their temporary onion/garlic building (a glorified tent). That must be better built, lol.

You can buy a sticker that says “my car was built in a tent”. One of the locals has it on their model 3. I couldn’t do it. I hate stickers on bumpers.

I'm not into stickers myself. I was just joking, but hand manufactured cars must indeed be preferred that owners are proud of them.[emoticon]

The tent was not some WWI canvas pup tent. Large tents can be very sophisticated today.

Yeah it is. My church used one while re-building the main chapel. It's even climate controlled.

Indeed,
Tesla factory wasnt a tent,
its earthquake resistant sprung structure

Btw
Denver airport also uses similar "tent" roof Lol

This is sad development on the Cybertruck.

It's back to original estimate when the news previous was that it will be about May this year.

Well.. if only Elon can just shut up and hurry up production, lol..

Heh heh. He wouldn’t be Elon if he shut up.

In other news, I tweeted him that he should develop a line of electric lawn mowers. He can call it the E-lawn. Wadayathink? Huh? Huh? [emoticon].

I’ll see myself out. [emoticon].

No need to wait for Tesla
Home Depot sells electric lawn movers already,

Hard call. But Rivian says they are ready to go in June. And the new Tesla factory is prioritizing model Y’s soooo... I don’t know.

Time will tell.

Not sure first matters all that much. Producing a compelling vehicle people want to buy instead of another gasser will make the market. And the market is plenty big for all to have a slice. Great to know there will be different trucks for the likes of different people. Competition is good.

If it doesn't connect to a reliable fast charger I am not interested. And the only reliable fast charger network that I am aware of right now belongs to Tesla.
