First gas stop, I would probably destroy it.

I can't see the front, but it looks like it could be a Kamp King.

I wonder if those kids survived the fall off the roof deck.

I had one sort of like the top picture, with the rear tipout, Without the top skylounge. Even with just the rear tip out, always a conversation starter at the campground. As a bit of trivia, most were ordered from the factory with the trim matched to the color of the truck the customer was going to mount it on. So 20 years ago or so, you could tell if it was mounted on the original truck. They were VERY heavy for the day, they were laminated panels, of 1/8 larch plywood on the interior, 1" styrofoam then a flat aluminum panel on the exterior, and not the modern aluminum that you can penetrate with a ice pick, the only way to put a hole in it was with a drill.

That was my first camper in 1966. Not with all of the fold-outs though.

All. My. Friends.
Love the low rider.

Seriously, though, I frickin' love that roof deck!

And the beehive hairdo. How does she avoid getting pine cones in it? Or bees?

I'm wondering how that plain looking blue and white pickup truck in the photos would deal with all that weight?!

And SRW! I'm guessing it had some kind of massive rear end upgrade. Or the 50s version of photoshop -- an airbrush!

And yet, the dually in the IRL photo looks like it's squatting to pee...

I'm sure it folded flat. The rear tipout folded in flat.

The top would fold down. It would fold up like one of those A fram pop ups.

That is awesome! Love that there are actually two chairs in the area above the cab!

I really like the tri level, even more that the sky lounge

Someone needs to start making this again. This would solve a lot of space issues when it comes to TCs.

Man, with the dinette, abd a bunk over the dinette, you could fit almost the whole Brady Bunch in there! No idea where they would ride on travel days, tho.

I am seeking a Del Ray tri level. I have a 68 Dodge crew cab to put it on, now I just need the camper to be 100% retro camping. If anybody hears of one that is available, please email me at [email protected] THanks,
Joel

It wouldn’t matter, that was back when parents were responsible for their kids!

Love this idea. Kind of reminds me of the one year only Keystone outback loft. It had a PuP on top of the trailer!
