You guys need to "drink the kool-aid". Behold the greatness of Brian France. NOT to worry, there WILL be one more year of "follies".

Probably so Cloud, but this is one those rare times where it's reported the sponsor sought to change the terms of the deal and it's a good bet Miller Coors wasn't seeking to pay more. In one month NASCAR lost their official dentist and beer.

National, big company sponsors and multi race contracts are a thing of the past. Probably see lots more, "one and done," on the cars and lots more local and regional money.

Or maybe even some Kool Aid for use drinkers.......[emoticon]

One of the ‘downside’ aspects of the big NASCAR about 20 years ago was the signing of ‘Official ___________ of NASCAR’ sponsors.

The impact was that a lot of smaller companies started leaving the individual teams and either signing with NASCAR or leaving the sport.

Many of those official sponsor contracts limited the ability of teams to sign competing brands with the official sponsor.

Anyone remember when there were four cell phone companies on cars in every race. When Home Depot and Ace and True-Value Hardware were on cars?

In my opinion fewer official sponsors of NASCAR is good news.

Well I really care about the future of NASCAR, but right now I’ve got the withdrawals pretty bad. Don’t know what I’m going to do when the football season ends.[emoticon]

A new France Investment.....or NASCAR Exit Strategy?

Thomas I'll bet if Bruton Smith wasn't at the age he is, I could see him as a possible buyer.
And say it ain't so, Danica seen with Aaron Rodgers in Wisconsin! Maybe she is looking for cooking show guests???

Bob, read a story in Charlotte Observer not long ago that Bruton had previously expressed interest in ownership of the Panthers. I believe Felix Sabates had a minority stake when the franchise was first awarded but he sold out. Gee if Brian gets his hands on it will he do for the Panthers what he's doing to NASCAR?
