The best thing about Sundays race is Matt winning one this year before exiting the sport.

And I like Chase Elliotts quote: "I'm perfectly happy to race people like they race me". I suspect Dad has provided some guidance in this subject.

Never did like Denny Hamilin for some reason. He just rubs me the wrong way.

I would be good with either Truex or Brad for the championship win.

Would have to put my money on Martin Truex Jr. 7 wins, stout performer on 1.5 mile tracks,

Might be a good call....but let's not forget 2011 when Carl Edwards led the point standings for most of the year and lost the cup to Tony with a tie.

I haven't, but with 7 wins, a tall order. Finish strong and ahead of Kyle and/or win a stage or two if he doesn't win and I believe Truex is a cinch to hoist the wine goblet........or whatever that new trophy is.

Think Harvick and Kes are must wins to have a shot, so really it's down to the 18 & 78. And all the other guys have been to this rodeo before........[emoticon]

Just to let you know, stages don't mean anything for the Championship 4. It's just who finishes in front of who.

No matter who wins, I will credit the crewchief and the crew first, then the owner, then the driver. Throughout the event, how well the car performs, how well the crew performs, how well the strategy works, how good their luck is, etc,etc.... Then there's the driver, will he be on his game? How about "karma"? How about the holes in the swiss cheese? I'm grateful for all of it. I'll pretend I'm watching from my VIP suite, at the racetrack....[emoticon]

A little end of season humor, anyone?

Not for nothin', but Danica would still be in NASCAR, with Stewart Haas if she had sponsorship. SHR and Danica's 'people' came up empty and struggled to find sponsors to finish out the season. So, now her official 'retirement' will be the 'Danica Double'??? Chip Ganassi says he's 'interested', but that's a loooong way from doing it. Unless the motorsports business model has changed, first one needs a willing team (she has that, maybe) and a sponsor. I'm thinking a pedestrian career does not endear itself to a sponsor, and the bloom is off the rose, as it were.....

Hey Mr. Ganassi, focus your energies on Kyle Larson's sponsorship for next season, far more important than some publicity stunt. Matter of fact, we can end this right now, NASCAR, give her 24th place for the 2018 Daytona 500 now. IndyCar, award her 16th place for the 2018 Indianapolis 500 now.

Problem solved with no cost to anyone.........[emoticon]

Danica has said that next year she would like to be in the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500, and then retire.
No doubt that several large advertising agencies are offering this deal to their clientele.

Seriously doubt it Cloud. If she was such a hot ticket SHR wouldn't have been scrambling to find sponsorship for everything vacated by Nature's Bakery and she wouldn't be unemployed as of January.
The Go Daddy days are....well, gone!

Danica is a poster girl for the "Me Generation" if I ever saw one! Never heard or read anywhere of her giving any credit to gals that drove before her. But got to agree with the Cloud that she has something in pocket to fund the two one shot deals. Interesting to see who she is working with in Indy car. Then GOODBY!
