WOW!!, Now THAT'S a Ram!!
Is that what the Host is gonna live on??
Would love to see some real world weights on that rig when it's ready to rock-n-rol!!

The deck height is 3.5' when unloaded and the Host 9.5' from floor to air conditioning. It should be close to 13' tall since the Arctic Fox was less than 12.5'.

The truck is over 10K lbs empty wet weight and 15k lbs with gear, occupants, Arctic Fox and trailer. I expect it will be over 17k lbs with the Host loaded.

So, what's the empty weight of the truck as is now, full of fuel?
I've been kind of thinking I should have gone that route instead of the 3500.
but I would probably hae had to order one. I found the 3500 at a dealer in TX.

That is a great looking RAM. Do you attach the tie downs to the rail on the side of the flat bed. Do you have anything else to prevent side to side movement, or is this not a problem. I also like your tool boxes.

Will a regular P/U box even fit on a 5500?
Looked at a F550 couple weeks ago and it had a P/U box on it.

The frames are different, but you can make it work. Here's one company that does it. http://www.classychassistrucks.com/f450.htm

Once we get our Host, I will be looking at building out the sides for additional storage or filling the voids under the wings with tool boxes. I did not do this yet because the Arctic Fox dimensions were different and I did not want to pay twice for this storage.
