Hello, I'm looking at purchasing a 2001 Minnie Winnie 31c. I was wondering if anyone owned one and can provide any information about the rv. I'm looking for pros and cons. Also what do you think a good price would be. The current owner is asking 22,000 it has new tires with 46,000. Miles one owner. looks like it's well maintained. Once again your advice is always great.

Pro: less money to buy. Con: it is 15 years old. The money you save will be lost in repairs. |

We just bought the same motorhome in January except ours is Minnie, not Minnie Winnie. Had about 33k miles, very good condition. Issues so far: -service engine light came on when we were driving it home after filling up the first time -discovered a leak in overcab bed (also on drive home in a bad rainstorm) -black water sensors not accurate We sealed the leak. We've been on three trips so far. No problems with slide, furnace, engine. We're happy. We spent about 23k on ours which was a little more than it was valued, but it was in really good shape. |

I have a 2007 Winnebago Outlook 31C. If I am not mistaken, it was renamed to Outlook from Minnie in 2006. Then, in 2011 they renamed it again. I don't know what the name went to then. Love it. In the 9 years we have owned it, we have never seen one we would like nearly as well. Here is the brochure for the 2001 Minnie Winnie line. On RV Tires It's not the miles It's the age. Check the Date of Production code imprinted on the sidewalls Different Manufacturers have different standards as to age Michelin has about the longest -- their standard is MAX 10 years You are taking your life in your hands with old tires. |

All I can say is Minnie Winnies are great coaches and I've heard a lot satisfied owners through the years.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels. |

We love our 2003 Minnie. We have owned her for three years. Would we purchase again? YES! The dollar investment was much less overall than a newer rig. Last year we replaced the original tires and batteries. We replaced the sewer hose, and do regular engine maintenance. We replaced the old heavy tv with a light weight flat screen. The microwave was one of the recalled Samsungs. Samsung sent us a check and we bought and installed a new one. BTW tank sensors seldom work correctly no matter what the age. :-) Have a mechanic check it. Check for any water damage (sight and smell). Good luck in making a decision. If it really is a Minnie Winnie 400 series it is a step up from a Minnie 300 series. Dick

Mike Leslie 2003 Minnie 29B Mike, How did you know about the Micro Wave recall. We just purchased a 2003 Minnie 29B in July 2015. We love the thing. |

As a 2003 Winnebago mini (24V) owner, I want to warn you about the sealing of the corner molding on the wall area over the cab doors. This molding has not been sealed at the factory as seen by myself and one other member with the same rig. Also look carefully at the molding where it curves up around the corners of the cab over area.

Dick We bought our 2005 Itasca 324V new in 2006 from a dealer who had it in their inventory with many Winnebago options already on it. I've always been aware of a Winnebago 400 series and wondered what it was. Could you provide some details on the differences between Winnebago's 300 series and their 400 series? |

![]() Two Hands wrote: Pro: less money to buy. Con: it is 15 years old. The money you save will be lost in repairs. Just to let the OP know about our experience buying a older Class C. We bought a 1999 Shasta Sprite in mint condition last year with 19,000 miles from original owner. Paid $15,000. Had it inspected by a rv tech with 40 years experience and he rated it a A plus. As preventive maintenance, we had the roof resealed that cost us $900. parts/labor. We are just now going to put on new tires that will cost $800-$1000. This rv is on the Ford E350 chassis, has the V10 which runs perfectly. We have been out many weekends with it and everything works perfectly: fridge, top a/c, heater, stove, lights, electrical, gauges for propane, water, battery level, etc. I found another 2000 Class C for a couple who was looking and they spent less than $1000. for small fixes and new tires and so far have put on 24,000 miles and happy they saved $20,000 over a newer model. With careful shopping and inspection one can end up with a excellent coach and save thousands in the process. These mint coaches are out there..seek and you will find! * This post was last edited 03/18/16 08:38am by an administrator/moderator * |

Good catch on that,I have done that too, but it still doesn't explain why new members cant post pictures,I have seen a few recently. Take This post for an example. A new member posted this and the pictures came thru,I saw them back on 12/1/15. This one too it was there now it's gone. Now after the revamp and the tweeks to the spam block for new members, like them, the pictures are gone. Slane that to me.........

I don't know. I went to both of those links and copied the url. I pasted the url directly into the browser to see the pictures, and they would not come up. I think those were bad links. Or, at least are bad links now. They start with https, so you may need to be a logged in user to see them. |

Ya these are not the only ones, seems to happen just after all the tweeks. I tried logged in and not, same thing.....just another one of those things on here. Even so this is the best RV Forum around. At least it seems to have taken care of the spammers. |

I'd love to show the area that my Winnie Mini leaked at. And the high quality aluminium structure repair that will not make it happen again, but alas I can not load pictures. Been trying on and off for about a month.

If I want to post a photo here, I put it on Photobucket, then post the link to it there. |

The image above is hosted on IMGUR.COM. You can tell because the url is "http://i.imgur.com/Msv8eHpl.jpg" Your second link is to DropBox. You may think that file is local to your computer, but it is also stored on the cloud where it is accessible to other users. DropBox automatically synchronizes the cloud folder and your local folder, but the link shared on RV.NET is actually hosted on the cloud. So, you may believe that the images are local to your computer, but they are not. Try this test. Turn your computer completely off. That way, the images on your computer are not available to be displayed. Now, use another device to look at your pictures on RV.NET. If you can still see them, they are hosted on the cloud, somewhere. If you click on the DropBox link, it actually says on the upload screen "Photos hosted by IMGUR.com" That means your photos are being uploaded to IMGUR.COM and linked to RV.NET from there. |
