Hi Hobo. Good to hear from you and to see that you are still lurking on the forum. [emoticon] We had a hot 4th in Richland. I put a small windo AC unit in our "fire exit" window and put some foil backed bubble wrap (insulation) in the windows and those have really helped keep our trailer cool. [emoticon] [emoticon]
I'm still working in Omaha...for another 5 weeks. I'll sure be glad when this project is over (for several reasons). [emoticon] Looking for my next job/contract.

Yesterday was my last day working at TeleCommunication Systems, Inc., in downtown Seattle. Monday, I start work at Expedia in Bellevue, as a contractor. I'm calling it easing into semi-retirement. I plan to take some breaks between gigs so we can take some trips that are out of the question when you've only got a few weeks (at best) vacation a year.

John, I noticed Expedia is moving to Seattle and is expected to have an effect on commute times in the area.

Bob, when are you heading to Cle Elum? We are going to try to spend a week there as we usually do. We have had to cancel a couple trips this year already due to my health issues.

Hi guys,

I know it's been a long time since I posted but just wanted to stop in and say hello.

I hope everyone is well. Glad to see that hobo is still lurking the forum. We haven't done in a while hobo!

Just got back from attending AirVenture in Oshkosh and had a great time. I really enjoy taking the motorhome on those long trips. My stress level drops to zero!

The family wants to do another outing this weekend so I'm looking for a place to go that's close. Tried looking for a place around Ocean Shores, but it seems you pretty much have to book a year in advance for a spot big enough for our rig. It's funny, we've spent years traveling across the country with the motorhome and have done very little camping in Washington. All the places we used to go with our truck/camper is no longer viable for our rig. I guess it's time to try out new parks that can accommodate us.

Kevin my boy, Sure is nice to see you on the reb again. Holly and I still get around but not very much at one time, Our camping is done at a MOTEL. We took a trip to Roseburg, Oregon then to crater lake of 3 hours and then to Bend for 3 days. Fron there we went to Yakima got gas at the cosco and over Chinook pass on home. After a trip like that it takes us a week to over come.
When ever you get the time I'm ready for lunch. The puddle dog is all new in side and the food is realy good again.
To tell the truth We relly miss all you guys.
You know it happen again last May I had another birthday and Holly told me I'm 82. Dam

Glad all is well with you and that you are still able to do some travel. Nothing wrong with hoteling it in order to keep traveling!

Our rig hasn't moved since we parked here in February. Planning a family camping trip in a couple weeks. Short trip, near Anacortes, but can hardly wait to get behind the wheel again. Wish we were going south, but not this year (other than to Junction City in February for maintenance).

Good to hear from you Hobo. John, sorry to hear that you and Nikki won't make it south this year. Thought you were working on retiring and getting down there! Bob, when are you and Sue heading South?

We had the last 2 1/2 weeks of Aug. in Hawaii - Hot and Humid, but a great time with both sets of kids and grandkids. Even got Carolyn um parasailing!

We are heading south Monday and getting into Sun City Friday. We are having a Hobo Mirage 2 person kayak delivered that should a blast on the lake. It has 2 pedaling stations and they really scoot!

As usual, if any of you get down into the Valley of the Sun, let us know. We have a spare bedroom as long as none of the kids have reserved time in it!! Take care and hope you all stay warm and dry for the winter - I know that we will!! [emoticon]
