David, when you two reach Mobile, AL, wave north as you pass by I-65. That way you will wave at most of my family. [emoticon] Wave south as you pass the exits for Fairhope and Daphne, too. That'll get the other half. [emoticon]

Hi Laura,

I'll try to remember that. [emoticon] Hey, how is that I-10 bridge over all that water near Mobile?

It is a great bridge and yes its long and high. You get a great view from it. You are making good time, just stay safe.

Laura good to hear from you, seems like you have been missing...Bob

The Bayway, as we Mobilians call it, is just fine. It is long, flat, and has a great view of Mobile Bay.

Laura, I thought it had a big high point that you could see the Battleship from or am I thinking of another bridge?

I think Bob is thinking of a different bridge cuz this one (I-10) was long, flat, but not that high.

We got to Florida Springs RV Resort & Campground in Bonifay FL (112 miles from the western border on I-10) around 7:30 local time. Took a little jokey-ing of the trailer to get into the site and in a spot that was fairly level (yep, dirt/gravel again). What is it with these southerners and "resort"? Do they think that it means more than just grass? [emoticon] [emoticon]

Anyhow, we thought we had a good drive today until we got the trailer situated and opened the door. A few of the Corelle bowls and saucers fell out of the cupboard above the sink onto the floor and shattered into a million pieces. If you have ever seen a Corelle plate break, you know what I mean. [emoticon] If not, just imagine a glass plate breaking into a million pieces and you'll get the idea. Little shards of glass EVERYWHERE! Got it all (hopefully) cleaned up.

Tomorrow we'll be in Jacksonville. Yipee!!! [emoticon] [emoticon] [emoticon]

Laura,
We waved to the left and we waved to the right, but nobody waved back. [emoticon] They must have been doing whatever they do down here in your old neck of the woods. [emoticon]

David, there used to be a heavier version of Corelle called Centura. We had a set when we first got married in 1963. It was supposed to unbreakable for about 3 years--then it exploded if dropped--in little tiny shards of glass! Been there, done that. Would hate to have to clean it up in an RV--that's why we don't use anything breakable! Hope you vacuumed things up very well--and we used a wet cloth also. Glad you have had a good trip so far. That was a fast trip!

Jon, I think you are probably too old to remember "hokey pokey" let alone doing it. [emoticon]
