Topic: NW Gathering, June 5-7, 2015, Richland WA

Posted By: DavidG on 05/20/13 10:32am

How does a little gathering on the weekend of June 5-7 at the Horn Rapids RV Park in Richland WA sound?

Nothing fancy at this point. Just a good old fashioned get together.

Call the park directly to make your reservations. Nightly rate is 39.76 with Good Sam, AAA, AARP. 44.19 without. Tell them you are with me (David Groesbeck). You won't be close to us, but you'll all be close to each other, if not right next to each other. Once the date gets closer, they'll figure out where to put you. [emoticon]

We'll hopefully figure out a way get the clubhouse for Friday and Saturday nights at least.

Here is who I have so far. If you're not on the list (or if I have youwrong), let me know and I will take care of it. [emoticon]

Dave-Sparky (Dave/Colleen) - COMING
Bigdog (Jon, Jeanne, Ryan) + guests, coming
kd7cxg (Tom/Pat) - COMING
Retired05 (Tom/Carol) interested
Tradewinds (Bob/Sue) interested

HankNLinda, COMING
blt2ski (Marty) interested
jahrens (John/Nikki), interested
Tom&Laura, can't make it

interested = would like to attend, but may have other things that may get in the way.
hopeful = if all goes well, they're coming

You said 96-99 and 110-125. Loyd is in 109. Is there a mistake somewhere? Trying to decide on a site....

What happened to "We can't be wagonmasters next year"? [emoticon]

We were both heartily sorry to miss this year's rally. Hoping for next year.

That's the one Loyd wants, so that's what Loyd gets. You're free to pick any available site, but the park has set aside those sites for us.

Yeah, Laura volunteered us...again. [emoticon] It's conditional though on us being around and available next year. If all goes well, we'll show Loyd how it's done and he'll do it the following year...with the usual help from everyone else. [emoticon]

Thanks for clearing that up, David. Are these sites pretty close together--looks like it from the map and the slideshow pictures. I'm trying to figure out a good dog location without going up to the top by ourselves! In the slideshow on the homepage of their website they show a couple of motorhomes parked side by side--really close. Is that our area? If so I looks like more room at the top of the loop in 96 or 97--if anyone has been to this really are those sites farther apart? Dave is not a happy camper in cheek to jowl spaces!

Linda,

We are not in the section represented by the slideshow photos.

I did a googlemaps on their address (280 Buster Road, Toppenish, WA) and it looks like there is plenty of space between sites. And if my memory is correct from the last time we stayed here, it's fine.

David, thanks for the heads up on next year's rally. Sorry we couldn't make it this year, but hopefully next year.

Thanks--I'll check googlemaps and then make my decision on a site!

Yep,I'll probably do the same as the twin. We're hoping to be there next year and will put in a reservation. We did have a really good time this year again, and I know the girls did on Sunday night.

Did y'all notice my updated signature in the first post?

I put a little blurb about our rally in my signature. I'm hoping to be a little more active on the forum over the next year, and hopefully this might draw a few more folks to our rally. If I didn't send you the notes on how to this in my PM about next year's rally, let me know and I'll send them to you. It's real easy.
