justinhscott, first welcome to the Forum and the Former Rental Club.
You will be #92 on a long list of happy owners.[image]

As the 3rd owner, has there been any Mods that that have been added that make it more user friendly? This may be of help to other owners that are looking to make their RV more personalized.

Have a great camping season and let us all know how it went.

The biggest mod is a genturi style chimney, which I haven't used yet. Someone also added a glass shower door which sort of curves into the shower rather than folding up - that's a nice addition. Finally, it has an LED TV mounted that we used during a rainstorm, and a satellite dish that will probably never be used.

We've put new tires on it, replaced worn front wheel bearings, and changed the oil. Previous owner had replaced ball joints and tie rods. All in all, I feel pretty good about the mechanicals.

I'm going to El Monte RV this morning, scouting not buying today. I noticed that a lot of the units I was hoping to see have been sold over the last 2 weeks. I'm guessing this is typical for the summer season. Would September be a good time to target for buying? Far enough after summer?

It may be,but while you are there ask about the unit you like, one may come up for sale soon, that is what flavtfan did and it worked out for him.

concur...I'm glad I mentioned to them I was looking for a specific model. they didnt' think there were anymore in the inventory but one popped up at another el monte location. they had it shipped down to my el monte in Vegas, for a fee of course but I didnt' mind. the sale still wasn't final until I had it looked over.

I spent about 5 hours at El Monte, and I want to pursue the Coachmen Leprechaun 23QB. Does anyone know if that u-shaped dinette can be removed completely? I asked the salesman and he said that there might be systems under there but he wasn't sure. Unfortunately, I can't drive back up from Mexico and stay overnight again for a couple of weeks - so I can't just go look :-)

The dinette and table were not the most comfortable for working, and I'm trying to explore options including removing it completely in favor of something else if possible.

Okay - does anyone know why I can't find this 2014 Coachmen Leprechaun 23QB listed as a model on any of the brochures / specification sheets? I'm trying to check weights and this model doesn't seem to exist.

I thought El Monte RV purchased normal production models, is that not true? Is this a model that was custom built for them instead - like Cruise America does?

The build sheet on mine is listed as a Commercial Model, they buy these in lots, so yes they may have a different number for the Commercial ones, mine has the same specs as the non Commercial units.

The 210 is the same Floor plan

El Monte Listing

There should be a build sheet in the RV listing all the specs, mine was in the closet.

Does anyone have information on the tiny solar panel that is on the CA 23a? What volts/wattage, etc?

Also, the monitor on my RV wall says the battery is at around 11 volts. I checked the battery with a multimeter and it shows the level at 12.3. Should I be concerned that the monitor is showing the wrong information?

I had to look a year prior to mine to have the model actually show up when I was doing insurance and stuff for it. I had to look up 2008 instead of 2009 then it showed.
