Darylin is my sales contact, and yes, she's very nice and really helpful. An overall great experience so far, I'd definitely recommend her to others.
Having the full service record is nice, and I had her email it to me so I could grep out pieces of information from it. Haven't bothered to try and make it usable as a spreadsheet because it's a formatting mess (inconsistent number of columns is the biggest problem), but command-line tools get me the pieces of info I want.
It's getting a head-to-toe exam from an RV inspector tomorrow. That may be less necessary than with your average used motorhome because of how well El Monte maintains their vehicles, but I still regard it as money well spent in making sure there are (probably) no hidden and unaddressed problems that will bite me later.
Will definitely post pics after I get it home (which may be next weekend; still TBD).
Darylin didn't mention extended warranties, but I'll ping her about that and see what she says.

They probably figure that since the average Class C owner puts something like 5,000-6,000 miles on a year, they are only going to have to cover 25,000-30,000 miles. I'm not saying it's a ripoff. I'm only saying to look at your intended usage.
Currently RV-less but not done yet.

I'd probably keep it 2 years at most. I just replaced the engine in my conversion van at a cost of $3400, and the tranny fixed for $900. If I'm buying an RV with 144,000 miles it seems a $1600 warranty isn't a bad idea. Looking at as and reading the forums make me think RVs are overloaded and experience frequent powertrain problems.

Got it off of Craiglist from a private party. They had bought it from the rent company a few years back.
Don't know about size yet but I think it will be good. It's only my wife and our little dog.
Did any of you who bought from El Monte take that, and if so, did you have to use it?

FWIW, my sales contact at El Monte told me, when I asked about drive train extended warranties, that they used to offer them, through the same company that CA uses. The reason they stopped, and just went with offering their own 12/12 power train warranty, is that she wasn't aware of any case in which the extended warranty company actually paid on a claim - which, of course, made for unhappy customers.
She said the 4 year "box" warranty which covers all the major coach systems, is actually pretty good and the company that supplies it is reliable. Thinking about that one. Picking up my motorhome Wednesday.
