Congratulations on your purchase.

It sounds like you have made a good deal and are happy with it. The Good Sam Elite is a nice Kicker too. Plus the spare and the $500 Gift card, just sweetens the deal. [image]

Pop back in after a trip or two and let us all know how it goes and what you like or don't. If ya need anymore info just ask.

Happy Camping.

Me, I am out there! I also purchased a rental, and I'm real happy with it. 23U fourwinds chateau. Low miles, clean unit and low price. What more could a girl ask for?

I purchased the rig in my sig from El Monte RV in late Feb. this year, and I have all good things to say about the purchase, the service, the coach and the price of the coach. I asked for and got the 38 pages of service records that began the day they took delivery in 2008 of the brand new coach, and spent an entire Saturday poring over them and making sure every oil change, generator service, new tires and brakes, and engine service was completed in the specified range Ford recommends. I noticed that there were more than a couple body repairs - obviously because a renter had backed into or scraped something. But the body and paint look brand new - I've had numerous compliments on it - and people cannot believe what great shape the coach is in. There were a couple "little things" that needed attention - like the microwave carousel rollers were missing a wheel, a couple screens needed attention - really simple things - and EMRV happily took care of everything. I even have the e-mail of their service Supervisor and communicated with him directly on a couple things. I really couldn't be happier with the deal I got and the condition of the coach.

We purchased our Majestic in May of 2010 with 85k from CA in Mesa,Az and our experience has been good all along. Nice people and a fair price. We spent several months looking all over for a class C and we were so tired of BS from one seller to the next and the lies over the phone that we went to CA. Within the 12/12000 warranty we had a 3rd member seal go out and called them and they said here are some places to take it..we went to Sanderson Ford in PHX. and it was fixed. No problems since except a fuel filter that I replaced. We just finished a week on the "RIM" in northern Az. at around 6500 ft. and our mpg going up was 9.4 and that is with the 5.4 Triton V/8. Have to fill it up to check the average but the drive back is down hill! Overall our experience with CA and our Majestic 23A is great with one exception, my wife now wishes she would have listened to me when I said let's get the next size up! Stay safe and drive nice.

Coming out of lurkdom to share that we joined the previous rental club this past week. We bought a 2008 Winnebago Chalet 231C Ford chassis with 20k miles on it. We are the second post-rental owners of it. Spent a couple of nights in it in "Camp Driveway" over the weekend and we've been busy moving our stuff in and making it ours. We traded in our travel trailer and so far are pretty happy with our decision. Between driving home from the dealer and driving to the DMV and back, we have about 150 miles under our belts wth it...looking forward to many more!

Many many thanks to the folks on this board (and this thread) for all of the info I was able to find here while we were researching. Pretty much everything I wanted to know had been covered, so I never even had to post a single question!

Cheers and happy trails!

Cheers!

I've had my Cruise America RV for about 8 months now and I just put some new tires on it. Other than that no issues so far. I've managed to take it out 1 weekend a month so far.

It is nice to hear back from you, please let us know how it goes on your trip.

For anyone else that has written a post here, it would be nice to hear back from them also.
To see how they are doing with their Former Rental.

The season is getting underway.

BTW,I just returned from 2 weeks and 1700 miles of trouble free camping averaging 9.6 MPG

Half of that Dry Camping.

In the Redwoods, as seen in my Profile and at the Beach, not one problem at all.

I am very happy at the performance of the rig,as I have been all along.

Happy Trails.

Just returned from 2 weeks in the Tetons. The RV was trouble free and I got an average of 8.347 MPG! 2741 miles travelled... We had a wonderful time and were cozy and comfy in what the "littles" called "Aunties big house". Couldn't be happier with our El Monte RV former rental unit. Now off to get her washed and waxed! Only little thing was a tiny chip in the windsheild which I will get filled ASAP. I hit either a small bird or a bat. I think it is lucky there was not more damage.

Welcome back beckid, it sounds like you had a wonderful trip. In Aunties Big House

I hope to get to the Tetons too.

The fuel mileage seems to be great too.I am glad that that Former Rental worked out so well for you. But why wouldn't it.[emoticon]

When I had mine washed and waxed, the place where I had it done were amazed at it being a rental and of its age. They said that usually a RV of that age has to be waxed a lot to be in that condition,It came out flawless, looks like new.
