Friday night drove to Colorado Springs and watched a Colorado College hockey game (beat the WHCA first place St.Cloud State) and camped that night at my uncle's place in the woods. Today headed west on 24 and picked up my dump trailer and skidsteer in Fairplay where it had been left by my buddy on Wednesday. A snowstorm came through and with his bald tires and empty truck he wasn't able to make it up Redhill Pass with the heavy trailer due to ice. Fortunately he had one set of chains so he was able to put them on and safely get it back down to Fairplay. Anyway, we picked it up and brought it back home. About 26,000 pounds gross, right at the rating of my rig. [emoticon]

Not sure if my tires are going to make it through this winter. 60K and counting.

Sad day ... winter camping (for us) is drawing to a close, and it's time for spring cleaning. The annual 'project list' must be attended to. Appalling! Yet, getting all those things done is appealing! So, the TC came off today.

Replaced the cheap plastic shower curtain for the wet bath with a nice fabric one that the wife made. Very nice mod for the bathroon.

Unloaded the S&S cause I needed the truck bed for hauling. Now we are in high winds mode......2 days now. I wanted to load the S&S back on the truck.... [emoticon]

Scraped off the factory Dicor that was peeling and resealed all the roof openings. Still need to mount the new Max Air vent covers and then going to wax and buff the entire camper.

Thought about Don so we made plans to head out for a 3 day trip next Saturday-Monday for a little fishing and hiking in central Calif. To that end I made use of the home dump station and flushed out both the grey and black tanks (filled and dumped the black tank with clean water twice) and topped off the fresh water tank.

so nice not to have to hunt down a dump station

Replaced the puny fire extinguisher with one about 50% larger. Fits in the same holder on the wall.
