There is some good information in this thread that is lost. Many projects deserve their own threads so that they can be seen. This thread is like the whole forum in one thread. But if people are offended I requested it be closed, ok, I'll play along... I looked at a picture of my Lance 825 on the computer today, while researching the Arctic Fox 811 and the Lance 855S, and weighing the pros/cons of each. 2017 F150 CC/5.5' 4x4 3.5 Ecoboost/3.55 2018 Passport Ultra-Lite 153ML |

skipro3 wrote: As I promised Gary, here are photos of my projects. First, the solar panels. I used 2 50 watt panels. (post link) I attached them to the roof using Instapark universal mount kit. I used threaded rod a couple nuts and wing nut to attach the panel to the mount. By removing the wingnut, the rod will slide out and I use the rod to tilt the panel to the sun.; ....Nice install..I like the Instapark mounts. Simple & clever on the tilting. I do have a sugestion though on the wing nuts. Threading the lock nuts out untill flush on that end so theres a bit more stick out on the wing nut end. Drill couple of small holes (90ยบ opposed for easy insertion regardless of nut position) and use a simple spring clip to ensure wing nut doesnt back out? I assume panle are attached to each other-pivots from one end or the other? 01 Ford F250 4x4 DRW Diesel, 01 Elkhorn 9U Our camper projects page |

Installed some Torklift quick disconnect stable loads![]() ![]() Leaving for the California coast in the morning, so I won't be posting any more projects until I get back. I'll be doing projects, just not posting. Gonna install a faucet mount water filter in the camper and a CB radio in the truck. Then when I get back I should have my Geno's cup holder and truck cab LED lights. |

O.K., couldn't wait to install the filter before leaving. It is a pur mineral clear I bought from Costco for $39. It includes enough filters to last a year of normal use. This should really help by no longer needing to take bottled water and gets rid of chlorine smell/taste as well as the garden hose flavor. I use an RV type hose and in-line filter to fill my water tank, but still I can taste that plastic/vinyl/hose in the water. I can tell you the pur filter works great! I did a blind taste test with the DW. A plain glass of camper water, tap water, camper water though the filter, tap water through the filter, and bottled water of Safeway house brand of bottled water. Final result; filtered camper and house water tied for first. Bottled water second, house water 3rd and camper water last. This filter made the camper water go from last place to first. Nice!! It comes with 4 different fittings depending on your faucet style. Lucky for me, the house and the camper are different styles so I can move the filter from the camper to the house and back again every easily. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is a link to a video about the filter and it's ease of installation; http://www.amazon.com/gp/mpd/permalink/m2OZQZGOQT7NOV/ref=ent_fb_link * This post was edited 01/25/13 12:29am by an administrator/moderator * |

The screws from the mirror hinges in he bathroom got torn out of the wall and didn't hold any thread anymore, so I removed them and used pop rivets instead. Much better result than using screws.

Took out the factory uncomfortable 6 inch foam mattress and put a 10 inch Denver Mattress RV mattress. Should be a huge improvement.
