Installed a Wave 3 heater. Also winterized TC so I can de-winterixe it in 2 weeks. Its such an easy RV to winterize and can do it with 1 gallon of pink.

Started sealing the roof up with Dicor, pulled the cargobox off the top, it was cracked and broken. I need to start looking for a replacement.

....we sent it to an indoor heated spa for the winter (along with the mint-condition 2004 truck), where it/they won't have to endure 6 months of 800+ LBS of ice buildup on its roof and an onslaught of brutally destructive rodents-- thereby perhaps tripling its/their lifespan (without expending even a single minute in sweat equity nor expensive RV replacement parts) ![]() Silver 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 6.0L Ext/LB Tow Package 4L80E Michelin AT2s| Outfitter Caribou |

Earlier in this thread I said I was getting my utility trailer ready for a hoped for long mid winter trip to the desert. While I am as slow as a snail here is what I have done so far. This trailer is about 30 years old and I built it strong. About time I renewed it a bit. Sandblasted, primed, and painted, about ready to work on the stake sides. New floor already made and ready to bolt in.![]() * This post was edited 11/18/11 03:56pm by Raften * |

Took cabinet door off to replace mirror I broke when I leaned against it while installing light. Sweep the bench after removing frame from almost perfect replacement that was 8" to long. Laid the door out, marked mirror. Using top of door to support mirror (flatter than my bench)scored width of glass to within 1/4" of edge when door rocked causing me to roll cutter off edge-snap. Cleaning up glass discoverd one of the felt pads had fallen off & got under door. After some thought Recut mirror & reinstalled the frame after trimming. Installed new mirror on door. Now Im designing a small shelf to sit on lower part of door under new mirror - thats 8" to short.... 01 Ford F250 4x4 DRW Diesel, 01 Elkhorn 9U Our camper projects page |
